Despite the elements of language of the French government and the media which
speak only of a racist act, the political and terrorist nature of the attack onthe Kurdish democratic cultural center in Paris on December 23, 2022 is beyonddoubt. Attacks against the Kurdistan Liberation Movement, whether they take placein Kurdistan or elsewhere, often target the women's movement because they are atthe heart of the revolutionary process. Let's be numerous and numerous on January7 in Paris to demonstrate our internationalist and feminist solidarity with theKurdistan liberation movement and demand truth and justice for the martyrs! ----On Friday December 23, 2022, we lost three Kurdish comrades: Emine Kara, MîrPerwer, Abdurrahman Kizil.Emine Kara (Êvîn Goyî) joined the Kurdistan Liberation Movement more than 30years ago and campaigned for the liberation of women and its people in allregions of Kurdistan. From 2014, she fought the Islamic State in Syria then, injured during the liberation of Raqqa, she went to France to receive treatment. In France, she took over the animation of the Kurdish women's movement, despitethe refusal of the French state to grant her asylum. It is to this women'sliberation movement in Kurdistan that we owe the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî"(Woman, Life, Freedom) taken up today in Iran and all over the world.Mîr Perwer was a singer from Bakur (Turkish Kurdistan), where he was prosecutedbecause of his political activities and in particular for his support for the HDP(People's Democratic Party).Abdurrahman Kizil was also a refugee from Bakur, a tireless militant of theKurdish cause for more than 40 years, a "welatparez" (a term used to refer tocivil militants of the Kurdistan liberation movement, often mistranslated aspatriot) who came every day to the Ahmet-Kaya center to take part in its activities. These 3 martyred activists join others: Sakine Cansiz (Sara), Leyla Saylemez(Rojbîn) and Fidan Dogan (Ronahî) who were murdered in January 2013 in Paris; aswell as to all those who have fallen in battle against the Turkish army, itsmilitias and Daesh.Women at the heart of the revolution in KurdistanThe revolution for democratic confederalism is a women's revolution and they arepaying a heavy price. This December 23, when the terrorist came to attack theKurdish cultural center in Paris, a meeting of the Kurdish women's movement wasto be held. Luckily, it had to be pushed back an hour. Otherwise, there wouldhave been a massacre of several dozen activists. From the assassination ofSakine, co-founder of the PKK and figure of the women's revolution, Leyla, Fidanto Emine Kara today, and from the political assassinations of leaders of thewomen's movement in Bakur (Turkish Kurdistan) to targeted drone strikes on theactivists of the autonomous women's organizations in Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan),the strategy is the same. The enemies of the Kurdish revolution, from Daesh tothe Turkish state of Erdogan, know that women are at the heart of therevolutionary process and make them priority targets to destroy the movement.A terrorist attack against an emancipatory political projectMacron, Darmanin or Borne speak only of a "heinous attack", an isolated act of aracist "who obviously wanted to attack foreigners", refusing to qualify thisattack as a terrorist attack. As the investigation was not entrusted to theanti-terrorist prosecution, the media followed in the government's footsteps andtook up its words, its propaganda. However, there can be no doubt about the terrorist and political nature of theDecember 23 attack when we know that at the time of the attack, representativesof the Kurdish women's movement were to meet to prepare for the demonstration onDecember 7. January and that the three places targeted are Kurdish, whereas manyother nationalities are present in this district.Kurdish activists have long fought against enemies who do not hesitate to murder, torture, use chemical weapons to establish their domination. The KurdistanLiberation Movement is responding today with the slogan that can be read onbanners and placards: "Our revenge will be the women's revolution". Theindiscriminate violent repression of the processions of tribute to the comradesmurdered on December 23 only reinforces the anger of Kurdish activists and theirfriends towards this State which systematically represses instead of protectingand carries a part of responsibility for these events. This is why on January 7 we will once again be in the streets to obtain truth andjustice for the comrades murdered in Paris, in particular by the total lifting ofthe defense secrecy surrounding these crimes, and to reaffirm our support for therevolution in North and East of Syria and its social project based on theliberation of women, radical democracy and ecology which is a real source ofinspiration. It is essential to reaffirm our solidarity with the Kurdish peoplein struggle and to defend this revolution which opens the way for us.We invite all political organizations, trade unions and associations to mobilizemassively on January 7 from 11 a.m. at the Gare du Nord in Paris.Stop impunity! Truth and justice for Fidan, Sakine, Leyla, Abdhurahman, Mîr,Emine! Lift the defense secret! Stop Erdogan! Remove the PKK from the terroristorganizations!Libertarian Communist Union, December 29, 2022https://www.unioncommunistelibertaire.org/?Attentat-terroriste-contre-le-CDKF-solidarite-internationaliste-et-feministe_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
