organized everywhere in France in reaction to this recourse to 49.3. This socialmovement is more than encouraging in the forms it takes: development of bridgesbetween all struggles (anti-patriarchal, trade union, environmentalist, etc.),reappropriation of the form of combative struggles: large-scale economic blockageand in large and medium-sized cities, and forms of struggle developed during theyellow vests. ---- Macron has therefore decided to use Article 49.3 of theConstitution to push through his pension reform. Élisabeth Borne announced it atthe podium of the Assembly this Thursday, March 16. ---- Is it really a surprisecoming from this government which has constantly pushed through its entire policyby all means, including the most authoritarian, at its disposal? Lies andmanipulation of information, police repression, requisition of strikers... andnow 49.3, the eleventh 49.3 in ten months. This government and its policies aremore illegitimate than ever. Anger accumulates everywhere. While blockades andstrikes are becoming more and more active but are struggling to expand, thegovernment hopes to put an end to the pension file as soon as possible, becauseit knows that the social situation remains explosive.As in 2020 with the point-based pension reform and in 2016 with the labor law,the use of 49.3 makes the idea of parliamentary resistance illusory. We havenothing to expect from a hypothetical motion of censure, we can only rely on ourown strength. The strike remainsto be built in many sectors. We are the producers of wealth, without us theeconomy does not work. Blocking actions must be supported and amplifiedeverywhere, the economy must be brought to its knees.
