publicly use the cops' violence against the to justify antifa demo. ---- Of
course, from the point of view of the authorities, paint bags against a facade
are property damage. The knotting of the banners was a violation of the
requirements for the demo. The bulls felt provoked by the demo starting too
early. There wasn't much going on on the street, otherwise the demo wouldn't have
been able to turn onto it without problems. The violence started when the cops
tried to stop the demo no matter what. Instead of spontaneously reacting to the
situation in a meaningful way, namely doing their shitty job, i.e. directing the
traffic, they decided to let the stick out of the bag and do what we have seen so
many times before. Only now did the people from the demo defend themselves
against the tonfa hits and combat boot kicks on their shins. This is also
confirmed by an article in Die Zeit.

But actually I think this "Who started it" - "You!", "No, you!" - for little
purposeful. I think it's perfectly legitimate to paint a place where fascists
gather and agitate against people who think differently. I think it's perfectly
fine for people to choose when to start a demo. I think we should shit on demos
and decide for ourselves whether to tie transpies together, use pyro and smoke
pots, dress in black and mask up. And yes, I know that in reality this is not
easy or even impossible, especially in a small town like Offenburg, but I still
think it's the right thing to do. Demo editions only serve one purpose: to
control us, to harass us and, in case of doubt, to ban us from a demo. We don't
stand a chance in this game of law and order, where the rules are made by those
in power and enforced by a militarized police force. That's why it's right to try
to demonstrate in a self-determined way, even if we break their rules.

In the last three years, hundreds of demos of the so-called lateral thinkers and
walkers have taken place across Germany. Also in Ortenau and in Offenburg, also
in the village where I live. Despite the initially very dangerous pandemic
situation and corresponding bans on demos, they were allowed to march undisturbed
- repeatedly to the applause of the cops and with the goodwill of politicians* -
and cheerfully infect themselves and others with Covid 19, put the Holocaust into
perspective and threaten people . There was e.g. B. Swear demos without masks,
against which Antifas protested with masks. The cops took action against Antifas.
This obvious unequal treatment is glaringly obvious and one may ask oneself what
is behind it. I don't necessarily see this as taking sides with the Schurblers,
but very much as a rejection of the anti-fascist movement. And that's not new.
I've experienced situations similar to March 4th countless times over the past 30
years and I shouldn't have been bothered by it by now, but it still isn't. It
pisses me off that people who live anti-fascism and take it as a basis for their
political actions are oppressed and punished.

The Afd drives the other parties in front of it and repeatedly manages to get
them to adopt their language and meet their demands for fear of losing votes to
the right. Refugees drown in the Mediterranean every day, are pushed back
illegally by Frontex and Co. and are deprived of their right to asylum. People
are deported daily to their "countries of origin" and to death. Again and again -
78 years after the end of the Third Reich - there are fascist attacks in the
country of the perpetrators and the keywords are the AfD and other Nazis. On
March 4th and 5th, the AfD worked on new keywords for their vicarious agents. The
SPD, the Greens, the CDU, the FDP are their stirrup holders.
And the city leaders, namely OB Steffens, and other hypocrites can think of
nothing better to praise the cops' violence against the left and to agitate
against comrades. And this is exactly where the old saying "People die and you
remain silent, windows rattle and you scream" fits in. Even if literally no panes
were broken... but that can still come.

I express my solidarity with all those affected by the police violence of March
4th. You did nothing wrong.

Fight fascism!
