And no parties are justified in deliberately killing or targeting civilians, targeting civilian infrastructure, or carrying out indiscriminate attacks. Here is HRW’s latest work on the crisis: Questions and Answers: October 2023 Hostilities between Israel and Palestinian Armed Groups (10/09/2023) Israel/Palestine: Devastating Civilian Toll as Parties Flout Legal Obligations (10/09/2023) Hamas-Led Attack in Southern Israel Kills Hundreds (10/10/2023) With Gaza Sealed Off, Palestinians Face Aid Freezes Too (10/11/2023) Real or Fake? Verifying Video Evidence in Israel and Palestine (10/11/2023) How Not to Fight a War (10/12/2023) Israel: White Phosphorus Used in Gaza, Lebanon (10/12/2023) For more of our work on Israel-Palestine, click here >>

But as HRW’s Andrew Stroehlein says, the fact “does not extinguish this lone flame of goodness.” |
