War in Israel ---- A relaxing Shabbat morning on October 7 in Israel was
disrupted by an unprecedented attack from the Gaza Strip. Not only wereseveral thousand rockets fired into Israeli territory - a lot by localstandards - but also a number of Hamas combatants broke out of the GazaStrip, even briefly capturing small Israeli settlements. Hamas captureda number of Israelis and captured military equipment. Many dead andwounded. ---- The situation is developing until the most likely scenariois that in the coming days the Israeli army will destroy half of theGaza Strip. According to local standards, what happened on Saturdaycannot go unpunished.Hamas forces are no match for the Israeli army. But Islamist groups inthe region fight in such a way that one Israeli killed for dozens ofthem killed is in the order of things for them. Most importantly, the Hamas attack is aimed at disrupting negotiationsbetween Israel and Saudi Arabia. Israel already has partnerships withEgypt, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates. Negotiations for a peacetreaty with Saudi Arabia, the largest country in the region, are in fullswing. Obviously, peace with the Saudis will be concluded on the termsof all kinds of bonuses for the Palestinians. And this does not suitHamas, which rules in the Gaza Strip: the Islamists build their powernot on improving the lives of their people, but on cultivating hatred ofJews. There is clearly an expectation that the Israeli army will enter theGaza Strip, there will be a lot of casualties among civilians, and thenegotiation process will break down. And everything will be as both theIslamists and the ultra-right madmen in the Israeli government love:war, destruction, death, shit and hatred.Of course, it is also wrong to blame Hamas alone: when you live in adeveloped state, and behind a fence with barbed wire on a piece of landyou have two million powerless people living in poverty - this is not aproblem whose solution can normally be stretched out over decades. As aresult, Hamas has thousands of young men from the Gaza Strip under armswho do not have normal life prospects and are ready to die in the warwith the Jews.Make a fool pray to GodIn Russia over the past few days there has been even more trash of allkinds than usual. Propagandist Margarita Simonyan proposed exploding anatomic bomb over Siberia: supposedly people would not be harmed, "butall the gadgets in the world would be switched off, and we would returnto wired phones, like in 1993."Surely she received an order from the Kremlin curators to somehowdevelop nuclear hysteria and got a little over-excited. The RussianFederation is again scaring the world with an atomic bomb, thus tryingto extricate itself from the Ukrainian war. Putin is still unlikely tolaunch a nuclear strike, but Simonyan's speech once again confirms thatall normal people should advocate for a complete ban on nuclear weaponsthroughout the world. It carries too many risks and does not prevent anywars. At RGSU (an average Moscow university) they are developing a "socialrating" system called "We", like in Zamyatin's dystopia. It should onlybe noted that in China no "social ratings" are actually practiced; thisis an invention of journalists. In Putin's Russia they believed in it,and now they are trying to translate it into reality.Putin voiced a new, original version of Prigozhin's death: supposedlyPutin's chef got high on cocaine on his plane and blew himself up with agrenade. Then the Tsar of All Rus' complained that he could not evenimagine that salaries at the Wagner PMC were paid in cash. But what kindof tsar is Putin if he didn't stop the bandit scam, but simply theirleader was killed by a grenade? And, of course, Prigozhin's personality is surprising. The man built amilitary, criminal and business empire, almost comparable in resourcesto the official state, but at the same time he sincerely believed thathe would be forgiven for his campaign against Moscow and would beallowed to continue serving Putin.Children of the Elite15-year-old Adam Kadyrov, who beat up a defendant in a Grozny pre-trialdetention center (we talked about this in the last episode of Trends),not only did they not open a criminal case, but even awarded the star ofthe hero of Chechnya! No criminal cases were opened against thepre-trial detention center workers who allowed the teenager into thesecure facility. What kind of "order" and "strong power" can we talkabout in Russia, if such a thing is even possible?A generation of children of Putin's elite is growing up, which isalready in power and considers itself above the laws written for the"smerds". In this sense, the idea of reviving the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceumis indicative: so that already from school it would be clear who will bea top-ranking official and who will not.In Chechnya alone, dozens of Ramzan's relatives occupy high positions.Throughout Russia, too: the head of United Rus', Andrei Turchak, and thespeaker of the Moscow City Duma, Alexei Shaposhnikov, are quite youngpeople, children of Putin's oligarchs. Deputy Prime Minister of theMoscow Region Government, kickboxer Georgy Filimonov (by a funnycoincidence, Nastya Baburova and a number of other anarchists trained inhis club) is the son of a friend of Sergei Kiriyenko, with whom a majorPutin official became friends because of his love for martial arts.Hundreds of such gentlemen will have to be picked out from hundreds oftheir warm places. Perhaps this will be no less difficult than removingPutin, Kadyrov and other top regime leaders from power. But together wewill certainly do this.Well that's all for today!
