The latest version of the Immigration law is probably the toughest in 40
years, it has been toughened on almost every point. The "mythical"
Republican barrier to the far right has long since exploded. The ideas
of the far right having infused everything to such an extent that the RN
speaks of an "ideological victory". ---- Non-exhaustive list of
everything that the law implies: ---- - National preference by right of
differentiated access to social benefits which will now be collectible
only after 5 years of work (and therefore contributions!) for foreigners;

- Loss of nationality for French dual nationals in the event of
conviction for intentional homicide of a person holding public authority;

- Establishment of an annual parliamentary debate and quotas on immigration;

Attack to the right of the ground:
- Land law is no longer systematic, now French nationality must be
applied for at 16 years of age, in order to be able to have it upon
reaching the age of majority.

Family reunion:
- Restriction continued with even more restrictive conditions making it
almost inaccessible;

Facilitation of evictions:
- Reinstatement of the offense of illegal residence (abolished in 2012,
makes irregular situation on French soil illegal and punishable by
fine); which will make possible the "hunting" of migrants and therefore
the increase in facial checks.

- The vagueness of "disturbing public order" which will make evictions
even easier.

- Possibility of withdrawal or non-renewal of the residence permit for
"non-compliance with the principles of the Republic" which leaves more
room for arbitrariness for the authorities

- Toughening of the double penalty: the ban on French Territory (ITF)
generalized in the event of conviction for crimes/misdemeanors
punishable by more than 3 years in prison (i.e. the majority of
misdemeanors/crimes because this is the penalty planned and not the
actual conviction)

- Expulsion made possible for people previously rather protected from
removal measures (parents of French children, spouses of French people
and foreigners residing in France for ten years, etc.), in the event of
crimes/misdemeanors punishable by more than 3 years prison but also only
if they are in an irregular situation;

On the right to asylum:
- Suspension of medical care and expulsion from emergency accommodation
and generalized removal measure (OQTF) for those whose right to asylum
has been rejected;

- End of the collegiality of judges, justice delivered even more hastily
(in particular by video, in an annex room of the CRA, etc.).

Of course behind these measures there are lives that will be impacted,
women who almost all encounter experiences of sexual violence during
their migration journey, French dual nationals, parents of French
children, foreigners who have been present for more than 10 years in
France... with serious abuses to be expected in terms of repression.

This law, through its frontal attacks on rights acquired through decades
of struggles, marks a certain turning point towards the fascistization
of our society, and the confirmation of state racism. This is why we
cannot accept it.

Let us mobilize now for the withdrawal of the Asylum & Immigration Law,
let us refuse the racist and fascist society project that is imposed on us!
