 Today, June 20, we celebrate a new anniversary of the creation of the

Vía Libre Libertarian Group at the end of the first half of 2010, a date
that we also chose for the anniversary of the third National Civic
Strike of 1985 in Colombia. ---- 14 years ago, a handful of militants
met to form an anarchist political organization in the city of Bogotá,
in order to enhance the organization and popular struggle in the region,
and do so from a libertarian socialist perspective. ---- We did so by
taking up the names of the Libertarian Group of Santa Marta and the
publication Vía Libre of Barranquilla, which during the classic period
of Colombian anarchism in 1920, promoted the struggles and strengthening
of the working class and other social sectors on the country's Caribbean
coast. with which we sought to compose and recover that rich experience
for the challenges of our own present.

In these 14 years we have participated, with our strengths and
weaknesses, in the national university strikes of 2011 and 2018, in the
agrarian strikes of 2013, 2015 and 2016, in the new wave of the feminist
movement that originated in 2016, in the national strike of 2019 and the
social outbreak of 2021, trying to intervene from the social
organization and the street, with our own readings, proposals, slogans
and flags.

In our history we have contributed, assuming our natural limitations, to
the consolidation of a popular education movement from below, autonomous
and assembly-based, to the promotion of a more participatory and
intersectoral student movement, to the development of social movements
open to practices and feminist perspectives and sexual dissidence, and
in the articulation of an open, reflective and purposeful anarchism,
rooted in its local reality and present in social struggles.

We still believe that organized anarchism has a lot to say and
contribute to today's reality, that is why in our 14 years: Cheers and
