When a state manages to sacrifice the public health sector, I find it
unworthy and disrespectful with regard to the physical and mental healthof the population that this State is supposed to protect. ---- I cannot
exactly date when the State, embodied by its successive governments,
began this liquidation of the public health sector. It may be more
subtle than that. A discreet progressive demolition as you realize it
when it is too late. ---- Closures ---- The closings first of the small
hospitals in the regions, guided closings it was said by the lack of use
and attendance. Then also at the same time or almost, maternities for
lack of attendance. ---- Then we are told of ''bed closings'' which is
from the point of view, communication, is less catastrophic, because bed
closings may suggest service to the hospital. Which is not always the case.
At the time of medical deserts, these places of health would be very
useful, right? Instead of obliging populations to sometimes do several
tens of kilometers to consult even one or a general practitioner. Let's
not talk about specialist consultations, there everything is
complicated, not only by the distance to be covered and the waiting times.
I cannot say sure that this state of affairs has cost patients of
survival to patients, but I can ask myself the question.
Another question. While the population in France increases, why close
hospitals?
Hospital staff
For decades, hospital staff have multiplied strikes to alert successive
governments of the dangers of budgetary restrictions, reductions in
staff. Without result and it is not the fault of the staff, but
governments that have turned a deaf ear and even binding strikers,
health personal. Hospital staff could obviously not, leave their posts
by leaving the patients without care. Blocking a hospital at the risk of
running lethal risks was not conceivable. And that knew it. And counted
on exhaustion, resignation. And unfortunately they won.
During the covid and after
The pandemic has arrived, with a largely degraded and sub-employment
health sector, with well-skinny material means. What would have happened
with more hospitals, more staff, more material means? I am not an
expert, of course, but changed hospitals, a staff put under pressure, a
lack of respirators and the vice versa there is not?
When the staff was leached, harass, on the verge of burn-out or
downright inside. Which is surprised by waves of resignations, stopping
registrations in nursing schools or training in health. And also the
distress of liberal nurses, paid at a discount.
How to blame them is impossible. Who would accept such working conditions?
And what have successive health ministers do? Not much or almost
nothing. This pandemic worsened the preexisting situation.
To overcome the effects of summer leave, some hospitals are forced to
close. Paid leave is a right, the problem is not there.
Where did a health system go to us?
Why all this?
People in ministries that manage human lives through financial
statistics. Governments that don't care about our fate, we ''without
tooth' ', the'' riens in the stations ''.
I have no evidence, but would it not be a plan to simply close, the
public health service, so that the private sharks get fat on our
diseases, in the name of the free business and capitalism . When we see
what it has given in some Ehpad managed by the private sector, there is
something to worry about. Or a two -speed support, you have money, you
are well treated in well -equipped establishments, well provided in
staff or the other solution a public sector for the poor being content
with what is currently, With a situation that is deteriorating. Or you
go back to your two feet and you wonder, if you will not come out in a
coffin in the event that you have the money, however to pay you one. As
unfortunately in some countries such as the USA or Great Britain or the
NHS (National Health Service) the equivalent of our Social Security is
on the verge of collapse.
And during this time the big fortunes are not even used, to be united.

Yes, let's react, do not expect yet another government, which will make
us unwarmed promises. There have already been too much before.
Capitalism plays with our health, reformism does not solve anything.
Care, solidarity, health have their places in libertarian revolutionary
struggles. Do we have to, as a individual, wait to be on a stretcher in
a hospital corridor that a bed is released or that a doctor
(overwhelmed) examines us; If we are still life, to put the health on
the agenda of our struggles?
