Good morning,

After a hectic day at the European Council — filled with heated discussions on migration and Ukraine’s president Zelensky’s visit to Brussels — today’s agenda is looking much quieter. It’s the perfect chance to catch up on our summit coverage and revisit some of the best stories from this week.

Today also kicks off the meeting of G7 defence ministers in Italy, running until Sunday, with EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell expected to attend. Ministers will be discussing key global affairs, including the war in Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, developments in the Indo-Pacific region, and strategies to support democracy across Africa.

Earlier this week, we published an analysis by Gian-Paolo Accardo on the decisive elections taking place in Georgia and Moldova. But if you’re looking for more context on Georgia’s future, there’s an online event happening at 12 pm today. Here is the link to register.
