HOW TO ACT AGAINST NON-PAYMENT OF WAGES

Non-payment of wages is a widespread phenomenon, despite the fact that
it is a criminal offense in many countries. There are different ways to
fight him, regardless of what type of contract you have (or if you even
have one).

 From our point of view, it makes the most sense to do direct actions.
This means:

Act directly against the company or institution or responsible person
We do not rely on the police or the courts to solve the problem for us.
Act for yourself and not for someone else
We do nothing for you, you are actively involved in the solution, we
help you.
Act on a mutually agreed upon plan
We agree everything together, we have events prepared for a long period
of time in advance and we adapt them to the current situation so that
they are as effective as possible.
Through direct actions, we show bosses that the problems caused by them
are no longer solved by just one person, but by a group of people who
know what they are doing and are determined not to give up.

WHY THE INTERNATIONAL WEEK AGAINST NON-PAYMENT OF WAGES?

The International Week Against Non-Payment of Wages (see last year's
report) was established in 2019 by the International Workers'
Association (MAP) to highlight the phenomenon of non-payment of wages
and the options to fight back.

MAP consists of organizations of workers from more than 20 countries. We
connect with people in regions around the world and solve the problems
that concern us. We are organized in an anarcho-syndicalist way - we use
direct actions in workplace disputes and operate in such a way that
hierarchical relationships do not arise between us and that every single
person has the opportunity to make decisions. We share our experiences
and build a culture of mutual help.

We understand the fight for the payment of owed wages, better working
conditions or higher wages as one part of the solution. Capitalism, with
its recurring inflations or price increases, will always be recorded by
the bosses.

That's why we want more than just an improvement in our conditions. We
want a world that does not operate according to the rules of capital and
production for profit, but according to the needs of people. A world
without hierarchies in all areas of social life, which artificially
divide us and are a breeding ground for inequality and oppression. And a
world without states as saviors of capitalism and holders of power over
society. We don't need either of these to live a happy life and develop
a society.
