Missiles rain devastation on Lebanon, leaving countless animals in crisis.

Please donate now

Dear Friends,

Houssein Hamze was ordered to evacuate from Nabatieh in Lebanon as the Israeli Defence Force was about to bomb the city. But Houssein is a dedicated animal-lover and he refused to leave the 60 cats he cared for at his home and the 200 dogs at his Mashala Shelter.

But recently, the unthinkable happened – his home was reduced to rubble, leaving all the cats dead, injured or missing and his animal rescue vehicle destroyed. Without his van, he has no way to get to his shelter, where the dogs are desperately waiting for food, water and care.

With his home and van destroyed, and hundreds of animals counting on him, our partner is desperate for our help.

In a horrific video taken just after the bombs fell, you can hear the pain and anguish in Houssein’s voice as he combs through the ruins, looking for surviving animals.

When war came, Houssein Hamze, who founded the Mashala Shelter in 2006, vowed to protect the animals who rely solely on him. Now everything he owns is in ruins.

Now, with everything lost, his animals – and countless others – are in desperate need. The situation is critical.

Please donate now

The 200 rescued dogs at Mashala Shelter have lost their only lifeline – the rescue and supply vehicle Houssein used to travel to the shelter to deliver food and medicine was totally destroyed.

To make matters worse, hundreds of animals from war-ravaged towns and villages are still flooding into Houssein’s shelter. Supplies are becoming scarce and increasingly expensive. With key roads being destroyed and the fighting intensifying, the situation on the ground is getting worse by the day.

Unless we replace his vehicle immediately, hundreds of vulnerable animals face death.

Please help us save animals trapped in the war zone today.

Please donate now

We are trying to raise funds for food, supplies and a new rescue vehicle. Your donation today will make an incredible difference for animals with no one else to turn to but us and Houssein.
