The situation in Gaza, after a year and a half of military attack,
remains dramatic and complex; there is no sign of an end to the militaryattacks and the Palestinian genocide in that territory. The shaky truce
lasted less than two months before Israeli bombings on Gaza resumed with
the same ferocity and absurdity throughout the Strip. In the West Bank,
everything remains as before: the pressure of the occupation and the
shameless and criminal raids of the settlers have never stopped. This
new development does not surprise us. We have learned to understand the
criminal posture of Netanyahu and his gang: a gang of unrepentant
fascists, thirsty for blood and Palestinian territory. We know they will
continue their genocidal project with impunity.
This is nothing new for Gaza, but the immense tragedy and level of
destruction from this war leads us to consider a "Final Solution" for
the Strip. The army, led by a coalition of criminals, has wreaked such
havoc in Gaza that rebuilding will take decades. Meanwhile, while
waiting to decide what will happen to the two million people still
resisting in the Strip, they have created a division of the territory
into three parts, a huge, doubled "buffer zone" along the entire border
of the Strip from north to south, where they have destroyed every type
of building and within which Palestinians are forbidden to enter on pain
of immediate execution: the PERIMETER of DEATH. The intent, according to
the Israelis themselves, is to wreak devastation equal to that of
Hiroshima; No form of life is possible, no humanitarian assistance, no
solution for withdrawing from Gaza, only convincing the population to leave.
"In a report released with the testimonies of several Israeli soldiers
who took part in the military attacks, they report that they received
precise orders for the total destruction of homes, factories,
agricultural land, and supporting infrastructure that could allow human
life. The pressure of the bombings and the constant requests for
evacuations from area to area must have a psychological effect on the
population, inducing them to leave the Strip."
Unfortunately, Western governments continue to turn a blind eye... There
are no alternatives for a possible end to the conflict; dialogue and
negotiations have not led to a permanent ceasefire; Rules and
prohibitions have been imposed on international organizations, including
the United Nations, which have been banned and almost completely
"outlawed," violating every form of international law we have known to
date. Suffice it to say that humanitarian aid is not guaranteed, having
for nearly two months barred the entry of materials, food, and water for
the civilian population. Even for the hostages themselves, still in the
hands of Hamas, no truce has been considered; indeed, they have now
become sacrificial victims for the honor of Israel.
It is up to the international community, all of us, to make every effort
to thwart this plan, remaining, as always, attentive to our sisters and
brothers in Gaza, and pressuring our governments to stop the genocide
and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians. So that the population can
resist on their land in a state of justice and dignity.
From April 9 to 13, 2025, a major solidarity initiative took place
throughout Italy and beyond to concretely and collectively respond to
the humanitarian catastrophe that has been devastating the population of
Gaza for over a year and a half. In the face of destruction and
suffering, we believe that active solidarity is not only a moral duty,
but also an act of resistance.
100X100GAZA, A fundraising campaign that aimed to raise EUR100,000
through 100 initiatives in 100 consecutive hours, from 8:00 PM on April
9th to midnight on April 13th, 2025. Hundreds and hundreds of
initiatives were mobilized throughout the country, even the smallest
towns wanted to step in and show solidarity with Gaza; with concerts,
shows, art, solidarity dinners and meetings, events and fundraisers at
schools, associations, and communities; the result was enormous. We will
never look the other way, Gaza, WE WILL NEVER STOP LOVING YOU.
Let's cultivate solidarity together, so that the people of Gaza can not
only continue to resist, but can obtain the social and material tools to
independently rebuild their future.
