Dear Luc, For years, Animals First Aid has stood shoulder to shoulder with our long-time partner in Morocco, the Sunshine Animal Refuge Agadir (SARA) to protect dogs hit by cars, abandoned on the streets, and left behind in the city animal centre with almost no hope. Now, everything comes down to one date: 22 March. On that day, SARA will leave the city centre. Not because they want to. But because an agreement meant to protect the dogs was not respected by authorities - and staying would mean allowing suffering to continue. Before they move elsewhere to help animals, they have one final, urgent mission: Sterilise as many dogs as humanly possible before time runs out. More puppies born into hunger, disease, fear, and abandonment. Thanks to compassionate supporters, $5,100 (€4,292 or £3,700) has already been raised, allowing 42 dogs to be sterilised and removed so far. But many remain.
