On the centenary of Gilles Deleuze's birth (1925) and the thirtieth anniversary of his death (1995), Roberto Ciccarelli's book offers a new reading of one of the world's most influential philosophers and systematically addresses his thinking with psychoanalyst Félix Guattari. From philosophy to religion, from media to cultural studies, from theater to architecture, from painting to cinema and literature, their dazzling collective thought continues to have an impact. This book allows us to reconnect with them through a passionate engagement with the debate that intersects feminism and queer thought, postcolonialism and decoloniality, ecology and politics. The project aims to use the ideas of Anti-Oedipus and A Thousand Plateaus as a toolbox to respond to Trumpism and the reactionary offensive, as fascism sheds its skin and becomes molecular again in a new wartime regime. This is evident from the book's title, which takes up the concept of becoming revolutionary-a concept developed in texts that discuss the future-and articulates it from a perspective that cuts across gender dualisms, class and racial hierarchies, borders, and property. Even when revolutions fail, it is possible to become revolutionary-and once again, in the upside-down times we live in.
