For over a month now, US and Israeli bombs have been falling on Iran. Civilians are being killed, hundreds of them children. More than a million people have been displaced. Internet access has been down since February 28th. The war has already spread throughout the region. ---- But we want to say what the media is silent about. ---- We don't pity the Islamic Republic. We've fought against it our entire lives. It tortured our comrades. It imprisoned our brothers. It killed our people for the past 47 years.
But imperialist bombs are not our liberation. Trump himself says so. This is not a fight for democracy. This is not a fight to support Iranian women. This is a fight for US strategic interests, for the destruction of military potential, for control of the region. Washington doesn't bomb for freedom. Just ask the people in Iraq. Or the people in Afghanistan.
While bombs rain from outside, the Islamic Republic wages an internal war. Demonstrators are executed. Political prisoners are locked up, deprived of food. Our comrades disappear. The regime uses prisoners as human shields on military bases.
The Iranian people are trapped between two forms of violence. One wears turbans. The other, suits.
To those in the diaspora who wave the Shah's flag, we want to make it absolutely clear: we did not survive these 47 years of dictatorship to hand our country over to the son of another dictator. The crown and the turban are two sides of the same coin. And we reject that coin.
What we want is very simple. We want a free society from below. Without kings. Without mullahs. Without Shahs. Businesses in the hands of those who truly work for them. Self-organized and self-governing communities. Everyone free to determine their own future.
Side by side with the people of Iran. Not with Washington. Not with the Islamic Republic. Not with the crown. With the people.
Against imperialist war!
No to the mullahs! No to the Shah!
