	This is a wake up call
	Join the Movement Help make our movement even stronger. We must show President-elect Trump and his cronies that the line has been crossed. Human rights are not up for negotiation.   Dear friends, It's always been hard being a middle school student. In President Elect Trump's America though, it's downright scary. Imagine a 12-year old Mexican student from an immigrant family. She sits down at her usual cafeteria table, but instead of laughs and cheers, she hears a group of students roaring, "Build the wall" over and over again. That's what happened at Royal Oak Middle School in Michigan the day after the election. Similar hateful acts are happening all across the United States. This is what happens when a Presidential candidate stokes hate and promises discriminatory policies on the campaign trail and surrounds himself with people primed to unleash those promises. This is a wake up call. People who care must act and we must act quickly. Join our movement and you'll help us show Trump and his cronies that they have already crossed the line. Human rights are not up for negotiation. Trump's bigotry and statements on immigration, refugees and torture have been biting. News that Trump has appointed Stephen Bannon, a notable voice of racism, as chief strategist, only fans the flames Amnesty members have been writing and calling our offices out of fear. We must be prepared. We are building an even bigger and stronger movement to fight back hate in the United States and to defend human rights wherever they are threatened. If Trump's America is not the America you believe in, make our movement stronger so we can not only withstand, but overcome the challenges ahead. "It's our right as a sovereign nation to choose immigrants that we think are the likeliest to thrive and flourish and love us." "You bet your ass I'd approve water boarding." "If I win, they're [Syrian refugees] are going back." [Speaking in third person], "Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shut down of Muslims entering the United States."
