Ebtisam is in danger of being tortured, help her now!

Take Action!
Dear friends
,
Ebtisam al-Saegh has been beaten and sexually assaulted by security officials in Bahrain. She has been interrogated for 12 hours every day and charged with terrorism. Her crime? Challenging human rights abuses in Bahrain.

What if speaking out against human rights abuses put you at risk of torture? This is what has happened to Ebtisam Al-Saegh, a brave human rights defender in Bahrain.

Ebtisam's been arrested twice, beaten, and sexually assaulted for speaking out about human rights abuses in Bahrain. Speak out against this injustice now and ask for her release!

Ebtisam was first arrested in May, when she was beaten and sexually assaulted by Bahraini security officials before being released. She has been a prominent human rights advocate by speaking out against abuses in Bahrain.

Ebtisam was arrested once more in July, and she is now at high risk of being tortured again. A few weeks after this arrest, the Bahraini government announced that they are charging her with terrorism.

Her dissenting voice is being silenced, and we need you Luc to join in to make Ebtisam’s voice louder! Make sure Ebtisam is heard by asking the government of Bahrain to release her immediately.

Ebtisam’s only crime is her bravery; challenging the government’s appalling human rights abuses. Despite being tortured, including sexually assaulted, she continues to stand for human rights in Bahrain. Please use your voice to support hers now.

Thank you for taking action,

Margaret Huang
