Someone shot her, making her miscarry and then they charged HER with manslaughter

Marshae was pregnant when she was shot. She tragically miscarried, so they charged HER with manslaughter! Sign Now Dear friends, In the winter of 2018, Marshae Jones was shot by another woman. She was five months pregnant and the shooting caused her to miscarry. The shooter faced no consequences, but Marshae was charged with manslaughter for losing her own pregnancy. Sign the petition today to end laws in 38 states that allow such backwards things to happen! Marshae was the victim of a crime. But the state of Alabama, where this violence took place, was more willing to see her as simply a vessel, a human incubator, whose only role was to keep her unborn baby alive. Even though someone else was responsible for her miscarriage, she was deemed a criminal for it. Fortunately, they eventually dropped the charges against her. However, this could still happen to other pregnant people in Alabama or in 37 additional U.S. states at any time! Laws like these are just another way to control the bodies of people who can get pregnant. People can't control whether they miscarry, and to add to their already immense pain and distress by making them "criminals" is inhuman. Sign the petition and demand that the 38 states with these laws repeal them immediately!
