This year has been tough on all of us – especially those of us from marginalized communities – and no one person can change that. There are deeply rooted issues in our society which will take a long time to correct.
But heroes don’t wait until that change happens. They make it happen, and they do whatever they can to help those around them as we continue fighting our collective and personal battles – even in the smallest ways.
So, this year we are proud to launch LGBTQ Nation Heroes in order to celebrate those who champion equality and make change happen - whether in their local neighborhood or nationwide.
There are five heroes nominated in eight categories, and you get to decide who the final heroes will be. You can vote once per day, per device, through September 30th.
And if you know of someone in the LGBTQ community who exemplifies what it means to be a hero, or someone that has done something truly substantial to enhance the lives of those around them, be sure to nominate them for consideration by September 14th for this year’s People’s Choice Award.
