TO BECOME OUR SCHOOLS FOCUS OF RESISTANCE AND STRUGGLE ---- We are at the
beginning of the new academic year and a year and a half after the appearance ofthe pandemic in the country. The pile of anti-social and anti-educational bills
that were passed in the previous period, as a continuation of the educational
restructuring that the rulers have been trying for several years, have brought
sweeping changes in the fields of education and especially in the universities.
These changes are a full-blown attack on students, and especially on those in the
lower classes. As if that were not enough, we students are once again shouldering
the health, economic and social ills of state pandemic management, in the worst
possible way. Having already passed three semesters of tele-education and four
tele-examination periods, under unprecedented living conditions,
From the outset, the advent of the health crisis made it clear that the state
was completely indifferent to the protection of human life, as it had not taken
any substantial measures to protect the social majority. Having previously sought
to degrade and dismantle the public health system, during the pandemic period the
state never took substantial measures to stem the pandemic, such as setting up
hospitals and ICU beds, recruiting medical and nursing staff, and taking
protection measures. for employees and so on. Instead, he chose to impose
successive lockdowns without real health effect, suppressing and promoting the
narrative of "individual responsibility", through which he sought from the outset
to pass on responsibilities for the criminal management of the pandemic to
society itself. Thus, while it was obvious to all of us that the state is solely
responsible for the situation we are in, they were trying to convince us that
sometimes the protesters were to blame, sometimes the strikers, sometimes the
students, even the hospital workers.
The issue of vaccination that has arisen in recent months is a monument to
hypocrisy on the part of the rulers. It is a given that, no matter how much it is
cut to the contrary, the state was not suddenly interested in protecting their
lives from below. After feeding the various conspiracy theories and
irrationality, today he is instrumentalizing the good of vaccination and through
it on the one hand seeks to restore the narrative of individual responsibility
and to find the perfect excuse in order not to proceed with any substantial
measures to deal with the pandemic and cannibalism so as not to turn their social
anger from the bottom up to those responsible for the tragic management of the
pandemic, who are none other than the state and capital. A representative example
is the new amendment that obliges unvaccinated students to take two rapid tests
per week, while at the same time abolishing their free practice, as a result of
which their costs are passed on to students as private clinics make a profit. The
abolition of free diagnostics in the midst of the fourth wave of the pandemic is
indicative of the indifference and hypocrisy of the rulers.
In such a difficult and dystopian period for the social majority, students are
also faced with the implementation of the law Kerameos - Chrysochoidis which
brings disciplinary proceedings, expulsions and cops in schools but also with the
introduction of the Minimum Admission Base that excluded 40,000 students public
higher education.
These latest moves on the part of the state are another link in the chain of
anti-social provisions to the detriment of students and, more generally, those

Along with the EBE, a central position in the attack of the state and capital
against students and society as a whole is held by the K-X law, which includes,
among other things, the controlled entry to the university premises, the
surveillance through cameras of all institutions, the establishment of a
"Security and Protection Committee", the upgrading of the disciplinary code as
well as the establishment of the University Institutions Protection Team (OPPI).
With the above, the state seeks to criminalize any militant action of students
who oppose the development plans of the state and capital for further expansion
of class barriers and the creation of a university where attendance will be the
prerogative of the few and the basic needs for feeding. housing and relocation
will be fully commercialized.
However, the changes that have taken place in the universities do not remain in
the reactionary provisions that have already been mentioned, but go further and
hit every aspect of students' lives. The laws that have been passed in the
previous period set the attendance limit n + 2 for fourth-year schools and n + 3
for those that require more years of study, which will result in the mass
expulsion of students. It is a clear retaliatory measure that comes with
statement boundaries, course chains and aims to discipline students and turn the
university into an incubator of highly skilled, docile and flexible workers who
will be productive to ensure greater profitability. of bosses and submissive to

with the increasingly intensive pace of study is punished by expulsion, any

receiving, it is necessary for us, the students, to take matters into our own

and outside schools, against the criminalization of social and class resistance
and the suppression of demonstrations, to be inspired by the struggles of the
past and to catch its thread resistance and struggle. From the Polytechnic of 73
