Presentation of the brochure "The struggle against gender-based violence,
discrimination and patriarchy from an anarchist point of view" & discussion ----On Saturday, February 19 at 18:30 at the Laiki Library - APAN (Moudanion 18,Neapoli) ---- When These lines were written, we were fully aware that nothingsubstantial about patriarchy would change unless the state, capitalism,patriarchy and any form of power were completely overthrown despite the publicityof cases of genocide, abuse of women, etc. Unfortunately, the harsh reality cameto confirm what is clear to us: patriarchy is power and power rapes, kills,oppresses. The narcotics and the rape of Georgia in Thessaloniki, the rape of theminor by a priest, the beginning of the trial of the child rapist D. Lignadis arejust some of the incidents that remind us that we must fight incessantly everyday, every moment against the state and patriarchy . As organized anarchistwomen, we reject institutional unloading and the individual path, believing thatwomen's emancipation against the world of power and its oppression today is acollective affair. We are well aware that freedom is neither granted nor given,but is defined and conquered through the struggles themselves.
