Report from yesterday's open discussion held at the Polytechnic University of
Thessaloniki, from our group. ---- Yesterday, Tuesday 29 March at the PolytechnicUniversity of Thessaloniki was held an open discussion, entitled "The thesis ofanarchists against the warfare in the era of modern totalitarianism" organized bythe Collective for Social Anarchism "Black & Red", member of the AnarchistPolitical Organization - Federation of Collectives. ----Dozens of people attendedthe political speeches, which included the reading of the announcement of theKurdish Anarchist Forum, the posotion of our collectivity as well as the position(via teleconference) of the companions of the Italian Anarchist Federation (FAI),with the central issue of the thesis of anarchists against the capitalist warswaged by states.Throughout the event there was political material (posters, translated texts ofanarchist organizations, declarations of our collective as well as the AnarchistPolitical Organization's, the last issue of the magazine "Land & Freedom" whichis published by APO, books of libertarian publications Nautilos etc.), enablingpeople to contact with the speech, attitude and action of anarchists and theorganized anarchist movement.In this period, which is characterized by the exacerbation of transnationalantagonisms and capitalist contradictions, having as a result the waging of warconflicts with disastrous consequences for the oppressed, it is imperative todevelop an anti-war movement that stands against the very causes that give riseto wars and impoverishment, an anti-war movement that stands against states,capitalism, nationalism and militarism.
