As we have been warning, the social situation at the national level is alarming.
Every day, hundreds of thousands of us are plagued by hunger, by misery and bydeep poverty that ranges between 37% (according to government indices) and 44%(according to the UCA observatory). Our already deplorable living conditionssuffer a constant deterioration due to the advance of those above, we are moreprecarious every day, while we suffer from high levels of unemployment and asharp increase in informality in the workplace. From this it can also be deducedthat there is 44.7% of the population depending on social plans in order to-hopefully- survive. The future scenario appears even more discouraging based on what has beenhappening. The consequences of the agreement with the IMF are becoming more andmore evident, and as always we are paying for them from below. Proof of this arethe increases that we have been experiencing in service rates, for whichincreases of more than 20% are projected in the case of telephony, internet, gasand electricity, among others.Another concrete example is the BCRA giving rise to banking chambers and largebusinesses to apply more increases in interest rates, promoting greater financialspeculation and affecting above all things the population's access to the basicbasket and other goods. At this point we must consider the measurements of theATE Indec Internal Board, where the Basic Basket for a typical family was around$145,000 in March, an amount totally far from the real wages that the vastmajority of the working class receive.Without forgetting the rise of the dollar -explicit request of the IMF to thegovernment-, which is far from relieving the pocket of the population and slowingdown inflation, this one also pushed by the increase in prices of primaryproducts worldwide. The latest inflation measurements were 4.7% in March and50.9% year-on-year, which is nothing more than thousands of families having tojuggle to be able to eat and access basic necessities. In this context and the fragility of the governing Front, the dominant sectorslinked to the countryside took advantage, who - like a predator that smells bloodand attacks - mobilized Plaza de Mayo with the "noble" objective of guaranteeingthemselves to maximize their profits in exports. We must take into account thatthese sectors, among which are the large and medium-sized rural producers andlandowners, have probably been the greatest beneficiaries in the last 20 years ofthe agrarian policies of the governments in power. All this while the political class - from whom we expect nothing - is engaged ininternal disputes that have nothing to do with popular needs. And as we know, they are usually nothing more than rhetoric to look good for the next elections. On the one hand, the Frente de Todos widens its fracture more and more, expressedat the media level, with bizarre statements and even with political sectorswanting to disassociate themselves from the resounding failure of the Governmentthat culminated in subjection to the IMF. On the other hand, the internal disputeis deepening between sectors of the ultraliberal, reactionary and conservativeopposition (Pro-UCR-Milei), abstracted by the 2023 candidacies. These are thereal concerns of the political class, at a time when conditions of life aresimilar to those of 2001.In what there is full consensus among the ruling class, is that in the face ofthe increase in social conflict, repression will be the order of the day. This ishow a strong repressive advance has been deployed by the national State and theprovincial governments to contain the struggle of those from below, such is thecase of the repression of INCAA workers in CABA, the repression and persecutionof social activists in Jujuy, Chaco and Santiago del Estero, the arrest of truckdrivers in Buenos Aires, and the recent repression of the people of Choya whoresist extractive policies. As well as the progress of the case that criminalizesstudents and teachers from Cordoba and Rio Negro for fighting in defense ofpublic education. However, this adjusting and repressive advance of those from above encountersresistance and has a popular response, which is given perhaps in a fragmentedway, perhaps in installments, but which advances with concrete measures. Anexample of this are the social organizations promoting camps and mobilizations toput on the agenda the situation of hunger and famine in our popularneighborhoods. Also the numerous unions carrying out different force measuresthroughout the country, mainly in defense of wages against inflation, of jobs andfor better working conditions. One of the examples was the national driver's strike (UTA) due to salaryequalization, with attempts to prosecute in Corrientes, Córdoba and Santa Feafter not complying with the mandatory conciliation. Or the strike of maritimeand port workers (FEMPINRA) in all the terminals of the country, in defense ofthe source of work. Another demonstration of union strength has to do with thestrikes of bank workers (La Bancaria) for salary recomposition. In the same waythat the Río Negro teachers (UNTER) are doing it despite the enormous discountsthey have been suffering. Also the Metrodelegados in CABA who have been carryingout forceful measures for better working conditions in the Subways. These are clear and concrete expressions that mark a limit to the advance ofthose above and that put the needs of those below on the agenda. As we have beeninsisting, the struggles that we are waging should allow us not only to face thedirect consequences of the agreement with the IMF, but also to "mark the field"for the political sector that is going to succeed the Frente de Todos, understanding that any political option that assumes in 2023 it will bring moreadjustment, poverty and precariousness if the unions, student centers and otherpopular organizations are not on the streets resisting in unity, regardless ofclass and far from any electoral distraction.Anarchist militancy must find itself today in that position of struggle, promoting, supporting and strengthening popular organizations. Building a strongpeople to stop the systematic advance of those from above, building an organizedpeople that fights in solidarity for the demands of our class.Federación Anarquista de Rosario:http://federacionanarquistaderosario.blogspot.com/2022/05/frente-la-avanzada-ajustadora-y.htmlhttps://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=418748363586737&id=100063547308480_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
