Last August 4th, militants from an anarchist group in Gasteiz made a mural in
solidarity with the peoples who suffer at the hands of imperialist wars. Thedecision to do so came in response to Kurdistan's petition for solidarity in theface of the recent military threat from Turkey. Likewise, we want to express ourdispleasure at the war conflicts in Ukraine and elsewhere in the world. Asanarchists, we believe it is necessary to show that all wars between Statesrespond to the interests of their national bourgeoisies, those that organizethemselves with treaties and alliances according to their political and economicinterests. ---- We are against any war between peoples (or against them) and wedemonstrate our solidarity with those who suffer them, those who resist them,those who denounce them, boycott them and sabotage them. In the face of itsmulti-million-dollar wars that disaggregate peoples, it is necessary to havenetworks of internationalist solidarity that resist the conflicts propitiated bythe elites, that build real and popular self-defense and that attack themechanisms of the State that support wars. No state seems legitimate to us, sincethey are all the result of the political monopoly and violence of the rulingclasses and they all represent authority in capitalist terms.The only war that we consider legitimate is the war against the ruling classes infavor of social emancipation. With this mural we want to send a humble message ofsolidarity and support to those who build another model of society based onhorizontal and anti-state structures.
