The past senate and municipal elections were again won by non-voters who did not
come to the elections. However, an even more curious situation occurred inOstrava Muglinov. In one of the districts, no one came to the polls during twodays. A similar case happened in the Ostrava district of Hrusov. ---- It seemsthat sometimes anarchists don't need to mobilize against elections at all,because people themselves understand that the real politics takes place somewhereelse entirely. Of course, local politicians immediately rushed in with acompletely false explanation of the situation. They say that the situation ispartly due to the fact that the people who are registered in the locality do notactually live there, and partly to the fact that the locality is mainly inhabitedby socially weak people who are not interested in politics. ---- How paradoxical.It is precisely the poorest who are the long-term victims of capitalist logic,regardless of whether the left or the right is in power. It is the poorest whorealize that elections cannot change anything, because structural change thatcould change their social position is impossible through elections.Perhaps even middle-class millennials could try out the role of the poorest fromtime to time, who, while reading the election programs together, can get into aheated argument about whether Babis or Fiala would be better.
