and their point of view into the Latvian language.

So you can take the editorial office out of the empire, but the empire out of the
editorial office, as we see - no. And once again from the side of the so-called
liberal opposition no work on the mistakes, no reflection.

In general, let's try to look at the situation through the eyes of a Latvian.
Here you are - a neighbor of a country that threatens to regain all, so to speak,
"lost territories", and not only the times of the Soviet Union, but also the
Russian Empire, this country invades one of these territories and arranges a
massacre there. Of course, you are so tense, because you have a good idea that
the aggressor is completely frostbitten, and then the TV channel that relocated
to your country is worried about how the soldiers of the invading army do not get
enough amenities there. And you already well imagined these soldiers who break
the door to your house. In general, somehow uncomfortable. But it is easier for a
Russian liberal to accuse Latvians of nationalism and helping Putin than to think
about his own colonialism.

There is a counter-argument that Dozhd's audience is not Latvians, but Russians.
Well, all the more so for the Russians it is necessary to convey the idea that
this is a criminal war and you don't have to go to it at all either in your
wife's pads or in your mother's socks. It's much more constructive. However, this
was discussed in more detail in the previous issue of Trends. Otherwise, in fact,
it may turn out that there is no difference with Sobyanin's statement: "We are
helping our guys on the defense line to equip the lines: anti-tank ditches,
trenches, pillboxes and dugouts. We install generators, stoves, conduct lighting.
We are building medical stations.

2. An attempt at revenge
This week, 25 right-wingers were arrested in Germany, Austria and Italy. They are
suspected of attempting a military coup. According to the prosecutor's office,
the conspirators wanted to "restore the state structure of the German Empire that
existed in 1871." That is, to restore the German Empire.

It strongly reminds someone. However, despite the fact that, according to the
investigation, the conspirators saw Russia as an external ally and contacted
Russian representatives, the Russian embassy denies everything. Again dreams of
imperial greatness and attempts to turn back the clock.

3. Failed revenge
It seems that all these dictators, both failed and fulfilled their dream, are
very insecure people. Give them imperial grandeur, give them unlimited power, as
it was sung in one children's cartoon "so that everyone trembles, so that they
respect." Here is one such very touchy person who constantly demands to apologize
to him, does not like criticism very much. Therefore, all those who criticized
him in their country were forced to leave it.

But a very touchy person does not like being criticized even from abroad. Reports
surfaced this week of the murder of Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov, who
lives in Sweden. However, after a while, information appeared that in fact he was
alive and was under police protection in order to testify about an assassination
attempt on his brother Muhammad, who was in Germany.

4. Sorry
What can I say. Apparently, very notorious people also go to the security forces,
since they have adopted Kadyrov's style and demand constant apologies. Moreover,
they are achieved by threats, torture and bullying. For example, they sought an
apology in September from Artem Kamardin, a participant in the readings of
anti-war poems.

We continue to monitor this so-called Mayakovsky case. This week's latest news:
Memorial recognized Artyom Kamardin, Nikalay Daineko and Yegor Shtovba as
political prisoners. And the Investigative Committee nevertheless began to check
"statements about the possible abuse of official powers by unidentified persons
from among law enforcement officers." True, usually such checks end in zilch,
that is, a refusal to initiate a criminal case.

An exception to this rule can take place in the same exceptional case for the
Russian "law enforcement" system - the closure of the most fabricated criminal
case, during which "official powers were exceeded" (this is such a euphemism for
torture and provocations).
As, for example, in the case of Ivan Golunov, when not only the "law enforcement
officers" who planted the drugs sat down, but also managed to sue compensation
from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

5. Will the psychologist help anymore?
It would seem that good psychologists will help people with megalomania and
complexes. But no, people with complexes and megalomania decided to find a
shortcut for psychologists themselves. According to the new draft law "On
Psychological Assistance in the Russian Federation", a psychological secret
should be opened "at the request of the bodies of inquiry and investigation",
without a court decision, as before.

During the discussion of this project in the Public Chamber, Vice-President of
the Russian Psychological Society, Doctor of Psychology Sergey Kandybovich
proposed to introduce into the law a clause stating that "in their activities,
psychologists act not only in the interests of the client, but also in the
interests of the national security of the Russian Federation. And that the
activity of a psychologist should not be aimed at the formation or encouragement
of protest moods of citizens directed against the current government, the
president and the government of the Russian Federation. On the contrary, in their
activities, the psychologist should strive to minimize, stop any protest moods in
society and among its individual members in order to ensure the stable
development of the Russian Federation. Consequently, the psychologists
themselves, seen in anti-Russian, anti-government actions or statements, should
be deprived of the right to engage in professional psychological activities. This
should be one of the attestation criteria."

Such are the innovations. To the credit of the psychological community, many
psychologists are still trying to challenge this bill.

One can, of course, assume that if people who are doing well with self-esteem and
self-criticism go to power, then the government will certainly be good. But power
is despotic in itself. Many people know the tale of the immortal Dragon, who
tormented people who were supposed to obey him. And when there was a daredevil
who challenged him, he disappeared. And now, there was another undaunted, ready
to fight the Dragon. He won, but ... he himself became a Dragon. So, however, it
happened with all the previous ones.

So anarchists have a remedy against Dragons: you do not need to become a dragon
yourself after you have killed the previous one. Therefore, anarchists only laugh
when they hear something like "what will happen when the anarchists take power",
because anarchism is anarchy. But what about without power? And so, on an equal
footing interacting with other equals. It's possible.
