On Sunday, December 11, Filip Rusina, an anarchist and anti-fascist from Frýdek,
left our ranks forever. Let's give him a short memory. ---- Filip has been activein the music underground since he was young, at the turn of the millennium heperformed in several punk bands. However, punk was not only a way to spend freetime for him, Filip also perceived its political dimension. He was always astrict anti-fascist and despite many skirmishes with neo-Nazis, he neverabandoned his unequivocal stance. Although Filip often moved on the fringes ofsociety, as an anarchist he never forgot those who were in the same socialsituation, if not worse. Even with a minimum of his own resources, Filip was along-term active participant in the Food not Bombs collective from Frýdek, wherehe mainly functioned as a link between activists and people living on the street. The activities of the local FNB during the pandemic, when the poorest werecompletely neglected by the state, deserve great recognition. When the Ostrava Anarchist Federation was founded, he actively participated inits activities. He was actively involved in the issue of political squatting, buthe did not forget the support of political prisoners in the Fénix case. In 2020,Filip joined the workers' initiative union, where he could share his experiencesas a street worker and general working conditions in the social field. Gradually, however, Filip's long-term health problems caught up with him, and Decemberfrosts finally became fatal for him at the end of this year.Philip was an example of a person who fought for his convictions until the veryend. He didn't take napkins, he said what he thought, he went against the flow.Honor his memory. No pasaran!https://oafed.noblogs.org/post/2022/12/19/na-pamatku-filipa-rusiny/#more-1095_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
