 On December 17 and 18, 2022, the 9th Conference of the A.P.O. In this two-day

process participated the collectives, members of APO, Anarchist collective
"Circle of Fire" (Athens), Anarchist Collective "Omicron 72" (Athens), Collective
for Social Anarchism "Black and Red" (Thessaloniki) and Collective for Liberal
Communism "Libertatia" (Thessaloniki), which during the first day, in the context
of the open debate, were placed in relation to a series of issues of the
political and social situation, while on the second followed the internal
dialogue and report on the up to now , but also the future course of the
organization. The open process of the first day was also attended by comrades
from the Anarchist Assembly for Social and Class Emancipation, the Athens
Anarchist Student Initiative and the Quieta Movere Anarchist Student Assembly.

The positions in the context of the open process of the first day referred to a
series of political and social issues of recent years. The placements focused on
the economic, labor and educational restructurings that are part of the wider
restructuring of the state-capitalist system, on the dissolution of the social
good of health, on the looting of the social base and the accuracy but also on
the outbreak of the war in Ukraine and the enlargement of the war preparations,
as a result of the ever-intensifying interstate rivalries around the world.
Issues related to the aggravation of gender violence, which is inextricably
linked to the authoritarian institution of patriarchy, the plundering of nature
by the destructive fury of the state and capital, the suppression of the
anarchist and revolutionary movement that the state and capital have unleashed,
were analyzed. through the ongoing evictions of squatters, the beating of
demonstrations and the persecution of anarchists, the aggravation of state
violence and terrorism with a typical example being the state murder of
16-year-old Roma Kostas Fragoulis and the strengthening of the police presence in
every field of everyday life to enforce the plans of state and capital, from
parks, squares and hills to universities and whole neighbourhoods. Finally, the
need to develop and expand the organized resistances and decisions from below in
a series of fields of intervention such as educational, social and class/labor
and the overall defense of the anarchist project itself and its social,
subversive and revolutionary character was placed of, especially in a volatile
period where the overall and organized attack of the state and bosses is
constantly intensifying, making the question of the Organization of the
anarchists and their organized counter-attack even more imperative and necessary
both today and in the near future where the repression will intensify but also
efforts to mediate and assimilate the struggles from below will return to the
fore, attempting to turn the struggles of the anarchist movement into fuel for
the election machines.

During the second day, the proceedings of the Conference continued with the
internal discussions of the collectives, which took stock of its movement so far,
the operation of the organs and the special thematic groups, reassessed the
political context and set the directions of movement of the organization for the
next period, with the next Conference planned for the spring of 2023 in Thessaloniki.

A.P.O. expresses, from the moment of its formation, an open proposition for
anarchists referring to organized and collective struggle and social revolution;
a permanent proposition for the political and organizational constitution of the
anarchist movement. Given the assessment that the state's repressive campaign is
a long-term choice of suffocating social and class struggles and the spearhead of
the overall business of changing the social place into a dystopia of exploitation
and subjugation and having the assessment of the underlying social explosion
against this business, we want to move forward in building a political plan that
confronts the challenges of our times head on, taking into account those with
whom we march and seeking to be on the side of even more. With a study on the
organization of the defense against the advance of the state and the bosses and
having as a horizon the generalized social and class emancipation.
Consistently on the class and social fronts of struggle that set barriers to the
further degradation of our lives today and with the goal of conquering the only
life worth living: that of the people's councils of the social revolution.
