It seems like only yesterday that we were fighting for the 35-hour workday. With
the conviction that the same production could be obtained spending less timegiven the organizational and technical advances. How could we not take less timeto do our work if we now had computers and machines that made our work lesspainful and more efficient? It was purely logical that we were going to work lessand less and in better conditions. But what we did not take into account, in ouroptimism, was the underlying problem and that is that the capitalist system isbased on the exploitation of the working class. ---- Exploitation at work is notlimited to a region or state, but has always occurred globally. That is why ourorganization has always displayed its internationalist character. The CNT hasalways supported the idea of the organization of the united working class of thewhole world, since workers and workers will always have, regardless of thecountry we are from, the same common problem: the exploitation to which capitalsubmits us. As part of this global struggle, our organization federates with therest of the union organizations that make up the CIT, giving the necessarydimension to the proletarian struggle.Julius Caesar is credited with the famous phrase "divide and conquer". Poweralways wants us divided so that it can defeat us. It does not want us to walktogether fighting inequality and it places borders with which to separate workersand workers, promoting xenophobia. It is sad to see people of the same class onone side of the border look down on those on the other side, considering them tobe a threat to their jobs. These workers and workers believe that those who areon the other side are going to take away their livelihood and they fail to see analliance to fight against those who do take away their jobs and labor rights: thecapitalists. The solution is none other than the application of the principles ofanarcho-syndicalism: internationalism, anti-capitalism and solidarity. Only thenwill we get out of this barbarism and achieve a more humane world in which theexploitation of the working class is only a memory of the past. For its part, capital does happily cross borders in search of increasinglymiserable working conditions and that is why we must understand our strugglebroadly, not limiting ourselves to our immediate environment and we must thinkglobally, since the Capitalism does so in its attempt to enslave us. There is alot of talk about the problems that have arisen on the Ukrainian border, a warclearly driven by the capitalist machine, but we hardly hear or read about theRojava border. Fortunately, we have a colleague from the SOV in Madrid who isinforming us in situ and whom I would like, taking advantage of this column, tothank for being our eyes in that part of the world and thus being able to learnfirst-hand about the isolation problems that it is suffering. that federation. Thanks and good luck mate. The distribution of wealth, which the capitalist system snatches from us, shouldbe the priority objective of an advanced society, but in the society in which welive, the opposite is encouraged. According to the 2022 World Inequality Report"the richest 10% of the world's population owns 52% of global income while thepoorest half of the world's population earns 8.5%."We continually stumble upon slogans from the system that urge us to compete. Theywant us to compete, to see who can work more hours for less pay. But it is morereasonable to cooperate between us and us, to see how to work less so that we canall work and thus be able to guarantee a decent life.Although we are going through a very difficult period in which capitalism istaking us at full speed towards catastrophe, we still have a solution for it. Andthe solution is none other than the application of the principles ofanarcho-syndicalism: internationalism, anti-capitalism and solidarity. Only thenwill we get out of this barbarism and achieve a more humane world in which theexploitation of the working class is only a memory of the past.https://www.cnt.es/noticias/editorial-anticapitalistas-por-supuesto/_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
