hypothetical future. We have called that document the Political Line and it

talk about horizon, we are referring to the final goal, which in our case we call
libertarian communism. As anarchists we are linked to the libertarian historical
tradition, so typical of our land, which had its origins in the federal
republicanism of the 19th century, but which evolved towards a corporate
socialism, first, and towards socialist anarchism , subsequently.

We have defined libertarian communism as a system with a collective economy where
private property and the entire economy are socialized. Therefore, each member of
society has decision-making capacity in all productive and reproductive aspects
of life. It contributes to the common good based on capabilities and needs.
Therefore, it is a system planned from the bottom up, based on decision-making
from the grassroots towards federated spaces, and confederalism is another
fundamental factor in our horizon.

We believe in the free association of individuals and groups. We cannot impose a
certain way of doing things on them. But at the same time, society must function
without tension. The anarchist movement picked up the idea of federalism and made
it transversal to its entire ideology. Within this point of view, we are based on
principles that include horizontality freed from any oppression of gender, race,
sex or ability.

We do not think that we will achieve this model of society without a fight.
Nobody will give us anything, given that there are class interests. Whoever
controls the world today will not willingly cede power. That is why we consider
ourselves a revolutionary current. To implement our society it will be necessary
to fight and build at the same time liberating as much territory as possible.

A revolutionary society is not created out of nothing. It is the product of a
dialectic, of learning and empowerment based on struggle. It is what we call
popular power. Our strategy is based on building people's power. We consider it
key that our people are strong enough in every sense to face the revolutionary
moment. The revolution is the product of a correlation of forces patiently built
by generations of fighters. The idea of popular power goes along the lines of
building a hegemonic narrative among the "people at the bottom", among the
subaltern, exploited and forgotten classes.

But the new society needs structures. The classic anarchist organizations raised
the Commune as a fundamental element. Later, revolutionary syndicalism proposed
that the Union was the backbone of socialist society. A few decades later, the
contribution of the Cooperative was accepted as a means of distributing the
production. In the Second Spanish Republic, the anarchist movement accepted the
derivation of the Commune into a Municipality. They were not very clear about how
to take over local political power, and proposed that the local federation of
single unions take over municipal tasks. Decades later, Social Ecology, the
Zapatista Autonomous Municipalities and the Democratic Confederalism of Kurdistan
have clarified how society should function, even on a small scale. Consequently,
Municipality, Union and Cooperative were the three fundamental elements of
anarchist society.

This clarifies a lot the three levels of work of the current anarchist militancy
and where they are expected to have a significant insertion, if a new society is
to be built.

We are in a crucial time for humanity. Never before has the world been in such
danger as we are living in this 21st century. The planet faces serious
existential risks due to purely human causes. We hold predatory capitalism
responsible for the destruction of the planet. The outbreak of future crises due
to environmental or resource causes will open up new, unknown scenarios. Now we
are more than aware that we will inherit the ruins of capitalism, as Durruti said.

Some territories will descend into endless chaos, as we have seen in Ukraine in
the last year. But right there it is shown that in the most absolute devastation,
mutual support and self-organization are also born. The same anarchist people in
that country remind us every day that only the struggles that are abandoned are
lost. They don't leave them.

The construction of socialism in our territory will be determined by its
acceptance by the majority of society, as a solution to the capitalist disaster.
The new libertarian communism must be built in a solid way, since we must
guarantee the basic needs of the entire population.

herefore, we must build structures, Municipality, Union and Cooperative, that are
really solid and linked to each other. We must make a plural movement, accepting
other points of view to broaden the base, without giving up our essence.

We must also bear in mind that we cannot act solely on a local, small-scale
dimension. This condemns us to an escapist communalism that would be easy to
deactivate by the actual powers. There must be a territorial action rooted in the
characteristics of our society. If we talk about the future, it will not be ruled
out that we will find a breakdown of state power in small local and regional
tyrannies. To avoid this scenario, it is necessary to have strong popular
movements, which do not fall into discouragement due to violence.

Precisely one way to overcome the obstacles of everyday life is to dream of a
supportive, egalitarian and libertarian world where life is worth living:
austere, sincere, responsible, creative and communal. It is the world that we
must bequeath to our daughters and sons, a world of which we can feel proud and
where we can look into the eyes of our neighbors and find serenity, joy and
wisdom. Libertarian communism must project humanity towards another future, very
different from that projected by dystopias.
