Message this morning, early in the morning: Joke Kaviaar has been arrested.
Agents at the door. Herrie, come along, that works. Sedition. She turns out notto be the only one. I now understand that a number of others have also beenarrested. In a statement that Extinction Rebellion (XR) has since published, anumber of six is mentioned, plus one person with whom the police did not find thewanted person at home. ---- It is apparently about the XR blockade of the A12 inThe Hague this Saturday, January 28. Joke had called for this, with herwell-known and very necessary fierceness. She did that after Lucas Winnips wasarrested last week after taking his child to school. Why was Lucas arrested? Dueto calls for the blockade next Saturday. So the state calls it sedition. We needmore of that incitement because we also need more disruptive climate action. Theclimate demands it. And the repression will get worse if we don't retaliateopenly and forcefully - starting with continuing climate blockades and calls forclimate blockades.Because let's be clear here. XR is in her right with her blockade and her callfor it. The climate calls for a major alarm, and that blockade is sending such analarm. I hereby call again to participate in that blockade. So here I am making acall that, according to the Public Prosecution Service, is sedition.I also refer to the article by Joke Kaviaar in which she calls for the blockade:'Opruiing by proxy', on her site and on Konfrontatie. Come to The Hague thisSaturday, January 28, take part in that blockade! And even if you don't see thechance to do so yourself: help spread the call to block, which the stateconsiders to be incitement. Blockade is necessary! Sedition is necessary!
