The announcement by the ultra-neoliberal Macron regime of its intention to push
through the pension reform without a vote in parliament (using article 49.3 ofthe constitution) and against the opinion of almost 75% of the people of Francecaused a real outburst of long overdue anger. For several days now, strikes, demonstrations, rallies and barricade battles have not stopped in the country.Millions of people are participating in protests in one form or another. Wepublish information about the situation and the text of the leaflet, which wasdistributed by our comrades from the CNT-AIT (section of the InternationalAssociation of Workers in France). The police brutally attack thousands of protesters in Paris, Marseille, Lyon,Lille, Toulouse, Bordeaux. Nantes, Rennes, Brest, Dijon, Angers, Besancon ...Gas, water cannons, rubber bullets are used. Hundreds of people are captured byrepressive forces. In many places the watchdogs of capital are being rebuffed.Burning barricades. Reinforced contingents of guardians of the capitalist orderprotect state institutions and strategic points. The iron heel of the oligarchyunderstands that it is not only about pensions and reform. Moreover, Macron isalso trying to push through the military budget to a record amount of 423 billioneuros!Although 60% of the population, judging by the polls, supports the idea of ageneral strike in order to block the country's economy and force Macron toretreat, the union bosses are afraid of their own shadow. They don't want theprotest movement to get out of control. Therefore, they refuse to call a generalindefinite strike and continue to follow the capitulatory tactics of weeklyone-day demonstrations and strikes. The next such strike is scheduled for March23. However, a number of industries and enterprises are on strike, voting everyday at general meetings to extend the strike. Inside the conciliatory trade unionassociations, the left opposition insists on expanding the movement andcontinuing the strikes, which is grouped around the federation of power engineersand miners in the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) and the trade unionorganizations of the Northern and Marseille regions. The same trend is observedin some SUD-Solidaires. The largest oil refineries and fuel depots are blocked bystrikers. Dozens of universities and other educational institutions are occupiedand blocked by students. Paris is littered with garbage - the cleaners are onstrike! It remains only to shove Macron himself with his "iron madam" primeminister into one of the boxes! In Toulouse, during a demonstration involving 90,000 people, clashes broke outbetween radical participants ("black bloc" and "yellow vests") on the one hand, and supporters of trade union bosses on the other. The trucks of the compromisingtrade unions were pelted with various items. A group of radical demonstrators ledthe march, accusing the trade union bosses of collaborationism. "You are notrevolutionary trade unionists," one participant said through a bullhorn. - Youapply for your demonstrations to the prefecture, as Marshal Petain demanded. Youneed to change the methods, otherwise no one will go out with you to increaseyour numbers. During the demonstration, the participants of the "black bloc"smashed the windows of banks and temporary employment agencies, each time causingapplause from the demonstrators. Shortly before the end of the procession, clashes broke out: the protesters shouted insults at the trade union bosses andunsuccessfully tried to storm the union trucks. They sought to prevent them fromreaching the site of the ritual final meeting. The speech of the local leader ofthe CGT was accompanied by hissing and shouting and was crumpled, after which thebosses hurriedly retreated under a hail of flying objects ... Jean Jaurès Squareremained in the hands of the radicals ...CNT-AIT, whose activists are actively involved in protests and blockades, hasissued and is distributing a leaflet with the following content:"After March 49, after 8 days of protests and before the 9th day: in order toachieve pensions, we will change the method!!!After two months of the "anti-pension reform movement", it is time to askquestions, to ask ourselves about the strategy that is being used by those whoare supposed to protect the interests of workers - the unions.Trade unions and political parties control and contain the anger of thepopulation and workers, preventing the real expression of this legitimate anger. They want to once again make the social movement lose. It's time to take matters into your own hands. The "yellow vest" movement not solong ago gave us the answers to what actions and performances should be carriedout in order to win.Week after week we walk through the city in the evening processions, but we arewell aware that this will not force the government to bend. Despite mass actions,we experience defeat and demoralization. But not so long ago, the yellow vest movement applied new methods of organizationthat made it possible to achieve results. Trusting in no one but themselves, meeting in assemblies at crossroads, they refused to trust anyone with the rightto defend or represent them. Direct democracy, direct action, those are the onlyrules they collectively followed and it worked. To calm the situation, Macron wasforced to fork out 17 billion euros. Today, the same Macron declares that helacks 12 billion in retirement. Q.E.D!But the situation is quite clear: either we will win with the methods of the"yellow vests" - or we will lose with the methods of the union leaders. The population, and especially the working people, are overwhelmingly opposed tothis unjust reform. In order to popularize our struggle, we will organizepeople's assemblies everywhere - at crossroads, in city squares, inneighborhoods, in factories, universities, schools, etc. Let's gather inassemblies to collectively discuss what actions we need to take, build bonds ofsolidarity to resist despite inflation and the threat of unemployment, andeventually be able to seize the initiative without becoming playthings in thehands of any representatives, union or political. The reality of the system in which we live is that pension law, like all otherlaws, is created by members of the ruling class in order to serve the interestsof that class. The only way to break this law and end this system of injustice and inequality isto organize collectively, without leaders and leaders, and go to direct action.Trust nothing and no one except your own struggle!Strike, blockade, sabotage!Direct democracy, self-organization into popular assemblies, direct action!"(http://cnt-ait.info/2023/03/17/49-3/)https://aitrus.info/node/6061_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
