#solidarnie_z_ludzmi_w_drodze action! ---- Let us be united by: ----demonstrations, pickets, graffiti actions, banners, solitary parties, benefits,happenings and all other activities - let them effectively draw attention to thephenomenon of criminalizing migration and repressing people who actively helppeople on the road. ---- Take a photo, mark the event you organize, add:#solidarity_with_people_on_the wayor#solidarity_with_people_on_the_moveand put it online.Let the voice of those who are still silenced finally be loud!Description of the action #solidarity_with_people_w_wayThere has been a humanitarian crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border for 20months. Both residents of Podlasie, as well as people from other parts of thecountry and from abroad, constantly help people on the road. For the reflexes ofhumanity (and opposition to the political response of the rulers to thissituation), they will be repressed by the government, uniformed services ormasked units of the Territorial Defense Forces.Humanitarian aid workers are held in detention while the police raid their homesand intimidate their families. The prosecution accuses them of helping illegalborder crossings, when in fact they bring a jar of hot soup and dry clothes tothose who are sometimes close to death. So far, 37 fatalities have been confirmedon the Polish side of the border. How many people died on the Belarusian side, wewill never know.Those who survive and are not forced to the barbed wire end up in closeddetention centres, which are in fact prisons for people on the move.Often, the only kind of fight left to prisoners is to decide to go on a hungerstrike, thus claiming their dignity and publicizing the inhumane conditions ofthe circumstances in which they found themselves. The protests outside the wallsof the SOCs continue.
