Dear friends,
I am reaching out to you about an animal welfare crisis that urgently needs your compassionate heart and a helping hand. Can you imagine a life born not into the warmth of a loving home but into the chilling clutch of fear and suffering? This is the grim reality for thousands of dogs in Serbia, where a crisis for dogs is spiraling out of control. |

Economic hardship, lawlessness, and corruption all play a part in countless dogs being dumped, their futures uncertain and fraught with peril. In Serbia’s rural areas, uncontrolled breeding is a tremendous problem because when unwanted puppies are born, all too often, they are killed in a variety of horrible ways. The dogs that survive often live truly horrible lives.
Mostly used to guard livestock or hunt deer and rabbits, thousands of these dogs live chained, are frequently beaten, seldom, if ever, get medical care and suffer from poor diet. |
|
In urban areas, abandoned dogs wind up imprisoned in Serbia’s municipal shelters – many of which have reputations for corruption and inefficiency, where cruelty is casual and commonplace, and where we know illegal killing takes place.
The plea in their eyes stirs our hearts, urging us to lend our unwavering support. It is a battle against time and adversity, but one that we must fight with tenacity and compassion, and we need your help to do it. |
|
But, amidst this despair, there is hope. And it comes from people like you.
A small number of fortunate dogs find solace in private shelters or sanctuaries that offer them the care and affection they deserve. And it is here that our best hope of helping animals lies. |
|
Your generosity will provide life-saving help to dogs in need. Donations will fund food, medical care, and sterilization programs. Serbian dogs are in terrible trouble, but with your help, we have the power to significantly improve their lives.
It is an uphill battle to provide sanctuary for the rapidly increasing number of dogs abandoned every day. |

Our first step will be to rush vital funds to struggling animal welfare organizations that are teetering on the brink of closure. Our first priority is Project Jupiter, located in Ruma. These kindhearted people conduct rescue missions for injured and abused street animals. For ten years, they have been instrumental in rescuing and rehoming thousands of neglected, abused, and unwanted cats and dogs, transforming despair into love, one animal at a time.
Despite being poor themselves, they spend every spare cent on the welfare and care of the dogs and cats they love dearly. But their funds have run out, and they are perilously close to being forced to end the rescue missions, which are so vitally important. With your help, we can keep them going and keep hungry tummies full and the dog killers at bay. Please donate generously today, we will ensure your donation is maximized to benefit the animals. |
|
With your help, we will provide immediate aid, but we will also take a longer-term view and work with local authorities on mass spay and neuter programs, addressing the issue at its core. |
|
The final pillar of our strategy is to increase the number of educational programs that promote responsible pet ownership, paving the way for a sustainable, long-term resolution to this critical concern. |
|
Your gift can make a world of difference for these animals. Every single donation will bring us one step closer to our goal. Please donate generously. It's not just a contribution; it's a lifeline. |

P.S. With your help, we can rescue innocent beings from a life of unimaginable cruelty and neglect. Serbia's dogs are crying out for help, and with your generous donation, we can offer them the lifeline they so desperately need. Please, donate today, and let's change the world for Serbia's dogs, one tail wag at a time. |
