LGTBIphobia and Transphobia is also transferred to the world of work as a social
reflection, with an important difference: we do not decide where or with whom wework. For this reason, from CNT we continue to recognize as a priority to workand fight, assuming a perspective of sexual and gender diversity in our unionstrategy. The reality in the workplace and the discrimination that is exerciseddirectly and indirectly in companies is reflected in some data: ---- 75% ofLGTBI+ workers consider that they do not have the same opportunities in access toemployment and within the workplace, and this figure rises to 83% in trans andnon-binary workers. Seven out of ten people consider that hate speech,LGTBIphobia and Transphobia, have exponentially affected a negative socialperception of the rights of LGTBI+ people and especially trans people. In thesame way, harassment is carried out in 8 out of 10 cases in the presence of otherworkers or company management, who carry it out without distinction, withoutanyone doing anything to prevent it.Harassment in the workplace is exercised in different ways: derogatory gesturesand attitudes, making a vacuum, derogatory comments, "jokes", insults anddegrading behavior towards the integrity of LGTBI+ workers.Another 15% acknowledge having suffered discrimination in the selectionprocesses, and this rises to 41% in the case of Trans and non-binary workers, andanother 55% acknowledge having suffered indirect and direct discrimination.51% avoid "gestures", expressions and attitudes that reveal their sexualorientation or gender identity.Faced with the "labor closet" and against LGBTIphobia and Transphobia, we arelaunching the Union Action to transform the workplace and our union sections intosafe and inclusive places.
