Dear friends –
Ever since the Taliban retook power a little over two years ago, LGBT+ people in Afghanistan have faced horrifying threats including detention, torture, sexual assault, stoning, and murder. Some have been forcibly "disappeared," while others have been forced into hiding.
Thanks to the generosity of All Out members like you, we’ve been able to work with our partners at ILGA Asia to help LGBT+ Afghans to escape and find refuge in another country.
But so many more queer people still need safe passage out of Afghanistan. Will you help?
By making a donation today, you can help LGBT+ Afghans get to safety.
It’s heartbreaking to know that LGBT+ people anywhere are living in constant fear of imprisonment, torture, and death, just because of who they are and who they love. And in Afghanistan, the situation keeps getting worse: powerful earthquakes have hit the country yet again over the last couple of weeks, killing thousands of people and flattening entire villages.
That’s why we’re working with ILGA Asia to get urgently needed aid into Afghanistan, as well as getting more of the people who are most at risk out.
Will you take action now to save lives in Afghanistan?
