Reading and position of the international situation 01 ----On Saturday,
October 7, 2023, the world witnessed the offensive led by Hamas, whichincluded the participation of all Palestinian political-military forces,breaking the siege of the largest camp concentration on the planet. TheGaza Strip, surrounded by tanks and snipers, with contaminated water andelectricity lasting less than three hours a day, is in practice anopen-air Zionist prison. In the West Bank, the average number ofPalestinians murdered by the Israeli invader is 30 people per month.Every day, children are arrested, women are beaten, young people andadults are killed, Palestinian homes are demolished and an entire peoplelives under the tyranny of Israel, being tried in exceptional courts.ENOUGH!Just as in April and May 2021 with Operation Sword of Jerusalem (AlQuds), all organized expressions of the Palestinian people and Arabresistance forces acted together, demonstrating that the European enemyis not indestructible and will not be able to maintain more than 6million people as second-class citizens, whether in the ApartheidOccupied Territories in 1967, or in the Gaza concentration camp (undersiege since 2007), or as pariahs in their own land (as in the OccupiedTerritories in 1948, known as Israel). It is necessary to remember: theinvention of Zionism came from Europe and the formation of this colonialState was the result of the greatest ethnic cleansing in history, withthe expulsion of more than 800 thousand people from their ancestrallands, places, houses and villages where they had lived for more than3,000 years. Among the crimes of Zionism are the millions of Palestinianrefugees, raised in camps, expelled from their homes to make way forEuropean invaders.The Zionist State occupies territory in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon. Ithas bombed Syrian infrastructure every month for at least tenconsecutive years. The Palestinian people learned that the only languagethe invading State understands is resistance and it is through this thatthey survive and will achieve their path to liberation. We areanti-imperialist and we cannot accept that a State lives off militaryaid from the United States (more than US$5 billion released in just 24hours) and threatens other countries with nuclear attacks - the eternalthreat since 1973. There is no respect for International Law on the partof Tel Aviv and Zionist entities on the planet are committed to themaintenance of Apartheid and the occupation of Palestinian territories.As anarchists we know that certain societal models in the Middle Eastare very far from what we idealize. At the same time, the liberation andstruggle of the people is carried out with the social institutions thatthe people themselves create in concrete reality, and are far from theidealizations of external observers. We defend the just and legitimatePalestinian resistance against the aggressive domination, ethniccleansing and violence of the State of Israel, but in the short andmedium/long term horizon, we also criticize any forms of Islamicfundamentalism (such as that which guides the Hamas organization) andmethods that undermine the unity of peoples.It is important to remember that the origins of Palestinian resistancelie in the 1936 general strike against the British occupation and itsZionist colonialist allies. The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)was born in the 1950s and is made up of secular parties with somesectors more to the left. We therefore understand the historical rolethat pan-Arabism can play in this context and especially its socialistversion. In the same way, we need to remember and strengthen thehistoric tradition of the Jewish left (part of it the result of theinfluence of anarchism) in Israeli territories and beyond, as part of amulti-ethnic and anti-imperialist struggle. We reinforce that thistradition is totally incompatible with Zionism, despite Zionism'sattempts to make social and territorial apartheid in Palestine "acceptable".We call on comrades of the Jewish faith to openly proclaim themselvesANTISSIONISTS and join forces in this anti-imperialist struggle. We alsocall on the more than 16 million Brazilians of Arab descent to standalongside the struggle for the liberation of part of their originalland, stopping turning a blind eye or pretending not to understand whatis happening.The Zionist enemy is inside Brazil, it was at the backbone ofBolsonaro's fascist government, it is the ideology that underpinsneo-Pentecostal authoritarianism and operates in the bowels of theBrazilian espionage and security apparatus. Liberating Palestine is theduty of the Palestinian people.
