ecclesiastical - military dictatorship not only tortured, disappeared,
kidnapped, robbed children and committed all types of human rights
violations, but also carried out a surgical dismantling of the
university system, the impact of which we are still experiencing 40

The current scenario finds the university in a complex situation: under
the imminent threat of its cutback (in the best of cases) or
disappearance thanks to a far-right project that proposes privatization
where the ability to pay would guarantee access to the university [3].
On the other hand, the ruling right proposes expanding university
campuses [4]with a strong presence in the suburbs under the slogan of
"the first generation of university students in the family." Without a
doubt, for many of us who walk the halls of universities on a daily
basis, its opening meant our entry into the cloisters as
teachers/students, but at the same time the possibility of entering a
career as a researcher, participating in postgraduate offers. , obtain
financing for research projects among many other improvements that
transcend purely salary.

Beyond the voucher versus continuity extortion that will have its final
outcome in the coming days, a debate is urgent about the role of the
university as a producer of mere workers to inject into the system or an
institution at the service of people and communities[5 ].

This was raised quite a while ago by Varsavsky, then taken up again by
Carrasco and today it is on the lips of many academics who dance an
unequal rhythm with the corporations that participate in the financing
of universities and, not least, hospitals. Take for example the
censorship of the results of the SPRINT project [6]by INTA who
considered that the methodology of the work carried out by V. Aparicio
and collaborators in the city of Balcarce was "lack of papers." Lies and
more lies in the name of science that were easily refuted during the
presentation of the results where it was scientifically shown that 100%
of the Argentine participants presented the following ranges of
pesticides: 6-13 in urine, 2-10 in blood and 0-18 in fecal matter.

Today, a university that accompanies communities and takes interspecific
relationships[7](ecological relationality [8]) not as fiction but as a
way out of the dystopian futures that lie ahead is becoming increasingly
necessary  . We are very far from that as a territory and we continue
under the mirage of progress.

Beyond the contingencies of the present and that uncertain future, the
university continues to be a scenario of possibilities: for those who
look through the microscope in search of answers or passionately share
their knowledge with exhausted students after a day of work; for those
who walk the territories collecting information and dialoguing with
communities in search of a more just future; for curious teenagers who
approach the different venues with the curiosity (and excitement) of a
visit to the university. It is likely that this scenario will mutate, as
in other times, into a scenario of resistance, but this will require an
organization of the different sectors of the community. Resist and
continue creating among the ruins.

Whoever wins, we lost and we know it. But there are those of us who
still have the hope of continuing to navigate these scenarios of
possibilities with the freedom and autonomy that allow us to transcend
the anecdote to build new possible worlds.
