09-04-2024 Last Sunday on the show: Malmö in Ixelles In Denmark and Sweden, Malmö's Belgian founder discovered a concept that was missing here: a bistro with affordable Nordic dishes. “Many places that offer seafood, fish and this kind of cuisine opt for very luxurious service. But here there is a casual and fun atmosphere, with lots of music.” Report by Anja Strelec. Watch the report Echo Collective Founded by Neil Leiter and Margaret Hermant, Echo Collective is a community of musicians and instrumentalists. In March 2024 they released their EP 'Mirror Image'. “We are a collective that composes together. That can mean trying things out together in the same room, but it can also mean sending pieces back and forth, or one of us has an idea and the other gives feedback on it. And it often starts with improvisation.” Report by Jose Huedo. Watch the report Brussels Waffle Workshop In the city centre you can learn how to make Brussels waffles from scratch. The workshop is held in English, but for groups it is also available in Dutch, French, Spanish, German, and even Hindi. “The Brussels waffle is everything you want a waffle to be - light and crispy - and is basically just a base. Watch the report Blythe Bolton Scottish art historian Blythe Bolton moved to Brussels two years ago to run the Affordable Art Fair. According to many people she meets, it's the best job in the world. “The idea of affordable is subjective, but most of the works here sell for between 1000 and 2000 euros.
