of Gaza and sees the most fragile, especially women and children, die of
hunger and starvation. The situation is so desperate and the hunger is
so great that food is obtained by mixing the little that can be scraped
with what the surviving animals eat, and this is to block hunger, to
swallow something. All this happens while, beyond a border wall,
thousands of trucks full of food and basic necessities wait to enter the
forbidden territory, where the Israeli army carries out a massacre,
consciously carrying out the genocide of an entire people.
There is no more water in Gaza and the little that can be gathered is
mixed and diluted with that of the sea, to make it less salty, the world
to prevent bodies from becoming completely dehydrated, giving water to
the thirsty.
The butchers are the soldiers of the army of a self-proclaimed
"democratic" State who indiscriminately attack defenseless women and
children, blinded by hatred and pain from a previous massacre, carried
out with equally determined ferocity, by the hatred that only a
different people the affiliation religion can nourish, in such a deep
and radical way, even if the
The deep reasons for the dispute are, in fact, more material and concern
the exclusive possession of the land on which to live, claimed equally
by two peoples, induced to hate each other despite their common origins.
The spread of diseases is endemic today, as is malnutrition, which has
reached levels that leave indelible marks, as long as we manage to
survive the current situation; This while merciless images show us the
inhabitants of Gaza running like crazy ants, while bombs and bullets
rain down, or dying crushed by a food aid parachute, however scarce,
that did not open, while trying to deliver aid, as scarce, to alleviate
the hunger and suffering of the few who manage to obtain them.
From above, to planes in flight, a sea of shacks and makeshift tents
offers a desolate image of the misery and pain of thousands of desperate
people, like the grandparents of the soldiers who attack them, locked in
Nazi concentration camps in Europe at war or victims of the pogroms that
marked the life of Europe. Those dead, those men. Those women and
children were no different from those of today, only then the world, in
disbelief, did not want to see them locked up in extermination camps,
sent to gas chambers, destined to die for no reason at all, while now we
see them. them, their image is returned to us, mercilessly, from aerial
shots in the field.
Tomorrow we will not be able to say that we did not see, that we do not
know, that we are not in some way complicit and responsible for not
having done anything and for having thought only of our most immediate
interests, outraged by some drones launched on ships passing through the
Sea Red or bothered by the poor functioning of the Internet due to the
cut cables that run along the coasts of that same sea and that allow us
to negotiate and live as if nothing were happening, as if the massacre
was happening that does not interest us, does not question our conscience.
In fact, we are outraged and we repeat among ourselves that it is a
right to protect ourselves, that it is a right to defend ourselves,
leaving it indifferent that the Israelis and the Palestinians resolve
their dispute to the point of mutual annihilation, allowing the
populations of the West Bank to live in a situation of apartheid,
discriminated against, repressed, enslaved, plundered every day by those
who intend to colonize their lands, moving them away from where they
have always lived, in the name of a messianic commandment that makes
some the chosen people and others subjugated people.
When this happens, it cannot awaken our consciences and mobilize us and
induce us all to mobilize to put an end to this scandal that offends
humanity, than to make human beings regress to the dawn of history and
civilization.
It is time for reason to prevail and for everything to be done to
immediately reach a truce and put an end to the conflict, returning the
hostages, restoring humane and acceptable living conditions for all
those living in the land of Palestine, whether they are Jews or Muslims,
because there are no exclusive or sacred lands, but only shared spaces
in the name of everyone's belonging to humanity.
