Police departments from New York City and San Antonio, Texas recently participated alongside Chechen security forces at a 'police competition' in Dubai.

At the event, forces from Chechnya's notoriously anti-LGBT+ Akhmat Kadyrov special police regiment were present. This group has been implicated in egregious war crimes in Ukraine and human rights abuses in Chechnya, including violence against the LGBT+ community.

The NYPD and other police forces should not be participating alongside war criminals.
