Emergency relief sites are providing relative safety and support for animals who cannot escape, but supplies are running dangerously low. There is a constant need for temporary enclosures, crates, blankets, towels, collars, pet food and water, as well as transport to get the animals out of disaster zones.
Shelters in the hurricane’s path face the real risk of their food and medicine supplies being wiped out as the storm rages, leaving countless animals sick and hungry in the aftermath of the destruction.
During natural disasters of this magnitude, terrified pets often flee in the confusion, falling victim to the chaos of the storm. Our partners on the ground are committed to rescuing as many as they can, but they desperately need funds to support their life-saving disaster relief efforts. |
