imperialism has always made the cabbage of another. Ukraine has garnered
all it could to defend itself. But US imperialism is tired of paying.
Tired of this Ukraine that was unable to repel the invader, but which
nevertheless refuses to capitulate. Trump demands that kyiv abandon the
territories occupied by Russia. In addition to speculating on the
Ukrainian debt, he also wants a return on investment: $500 billion in
"exclusive" and "perpetual" rights to Ukraine's mineral, oil and gas
resources. A tidy takeover that kyiv has obviously refused.

Imperialist about-face

In a spectacular reversal of alliances, Trump is now negotiating with
Putin for a joint division and plunder of Ukraine. And they will call it
"peace". The European bourgeoisies are brutally realizing that their
American overlord has his own priorities and that the time of the
American umbrella via NATO is (temporarily?) over. For the capitalists
of the military-industrial sector, this is the perfect opportunity to
demand massive investments from their states. European leaders are now
working on their public opinion with a view to military rearmament. The
debates on common defense will accelerate. We reject the financial and
political militaristic drift that leads us to even more authoritarian
regimes and to war. As for the Ukrainian people, they have the right to
independence and a future, against imperialisms, wherever they come from.
