The 14th issue of the western suburbs political newspaper "Black and Red
Flag" is published ---- "BLACK AND RED FLAG" is an informative political
newspaper that circulates in the western suburbs of Athens and is
addressed to the working people, the unemployed, the pensioners and the
youth of the regions. It wants to speak to those who work under adverse
conditions, experiencing labor exploitation and the anxiety of survival,
to those who study overwhelmed by insecurity for the future, to all who
are anxious today for the quality of life and their well-being, seeing
their incomes being plundered, their labor and social rights being
restricted, their everyday life becoming increasingly unbearable. It
wants to communicate with the social majority that is bleeding, in a
world where the political and economic system that dominates, throws it
into poverty, misery and despair,
The "BLACK AND RED FLAG" propagates that another solution exists for the
organization of society, the economy and political life. This solution
is brought by the anarchist movement and its proposals, for the
historically necessary overthrow of the existing regime and the
reorganization of society with workers' control of production, equality
in access to social wealth, making all decisions by popular assemblies
and workers', community and social councils, for social progress based
on the collective benefit and not the individual profit of the few at
the expense of the many. These ideas and proposals are in opposition to
all authoritarian ideologies, whether they support the current system of
capitalism and the state, or the once socialist states of the
dictatorship of the party over the proletariat. And they are fair,
timely, realistic and applicable.
The responsibility for the publication and circulation of the "BLACK AND
RED FLAG" is currently held by the "Anarchist Initiative of Agion
Anargyroi - Kamaterou". "For the time being" because the goal of our
core is the creation of an anarchist organization of all the western
suburbs, as a first strategic step for the construction of a new kinetic
perspective of organized anarchism in the Greek space, looking forward
step by step to the formation of those conditions that will lead to a
general political organization of anarchists, of pan-Hellenic scope.
