 The following is a statement written and endorsed by members of the

Latin American Anarchist Coordination (CALA) and sibling organizations
across the Americas, including Black Rose/Rosa Negra. ---- Violence in
the Middle East continues at an exponential rate. The masters of war,
the main partners of neoliberal capitalism, impose death on those at the
bottom, while growing richer with their states' war investments. This
approach is actually a strategy of global domination, of appropriation
of wealth and territories, of oil and gas... And a huge bounty for the
interests of the arms industry. The US, along with Israel-its partner in
this barrage-spreads its ideology of arrogance, intimidation, and
violence. They don't need complex materials to spread it; all it takes
is to stir up the nuclear specter and a few slogans: "good versus evil,"
"the fight against terrorism." The media and social networks, controlled
by them, replicate it. And censorship is on their side. After allowing
the puppet state of Israel to carry out unlimited attacks on Iranian
territory, the United States has now entered the conflict. This is the
materialization of an obsession that many members of the US ruling elite
have had for decades: the desire to overthrow the Iranian regime. This
obsession stems from the strategic defeat suffered by the United States
in 1980, when its chosen puppet was deposed during the Iranian
revolution, but also, and much more importantly, is due to the new
imperialist strategies the United States is attempting to advance.
These attacks against Iran, led by Israel, the United States, and NATO,
are taking place
while China, as a consolidated power, and Russia, a state constantly
pursuing European power status, are waiting and playing their game in a
context of escalating international tensions and exponentially
increasing class struggle.
Before the wide-open, blind eyes of the world, the Palestinian territory
is being devastated and its population exterminated. A besieged area, an
apartheid.
Now, the attack on Iran, a regime that is bothersome not because it is
autarchic but because it does not follow Western imperial interests, and
because it is also a key geopolitical zone in the Middle East. Iran
defends itself, but its civilian population is massacred.
New technologies at the service of war against peoples are
proliferating. Drones and new-generation missiles hover over defenseless
populations, children, the elderly, and the elderly... Technology so
precise that it finds not terrorism but thousands upon thousands of
innocent victims every day.
The discourse seems to be created by the Orwellian Ministry of Truth and
Newspeak. Those who dropped the atomic bomb yesterday are the custodians
of peace and democracy today. The
supposed legitimacy of international institutions, such as the UN, is
shattered as we observe their absolute inability to intervene in
conflicts. What's more, these institutions not only fail to defend
oppressed peoples, but also offer legitimacy to aggressors, as we have
seen in the most recent declaration by the G7 countries, which maintains
that Israel's attacks on Iran are its right to defend itself. In other
words, by attacking Iran, Israel is dirtying its hands against a state
advancing in nuclear capability, something that pleases the countries of
the Global North because it keeps the current hierarchical structure of
the international system intact.
What is clear is that this is the filthiest and cruelest face of
capitalism, a new historical stage of articulation that embraces the
worst of past experiences, but which attempts to disguise itself,
sometimes, in the name of democracy and freedom. And at other times, as
in Trump's statements, more plainly by upholding white supremacy.
We are facing a system of death, but we know that in the face of
oppression there is resistance.
That people suffer, but they also rise up. May international solidarity
be expressed in mobilizations around the world, and may there be a
clamor to stop this genocide. And may we anarchists be outraged by such
barbarity perpetrated by those who call themselves civilized, and may we
anarchists express our outrage, stand in solidarity, and also propose to
fight for a new world.
