| 10,000 Lives Sterilized & Counting: A Call to Save More Vulnerable Lives!Dear friends,
Animals First Aid, in partnership with the Tanzania Animal Welfare Society (TAWESO), is once again sounding the alarm. While we recently celebrated a major milestone—over 10,000 dogs sterilized in Tanzania—our work on the ground continues daily, and the needs are only growing.
Every time we rescue an animal like Macho, Simba, or Upendo the Donkey, we’re reminded of the brutal reality they face. These are not isolated cases. They are heartbreaking examples of what happens when resources are scarce and no one else is willing or able to step in.son. The gang presence is too dangerous. But from afar, we can send help. We must. |

| Macho’s Skin Was Falling Off. He Was in Agony.
Macho, a 5-year-old dog, was brought to TAWESO suffering from severe skin disease. Almost all his fur was gone. His body was covered in lesions. He scratched and shook constantly, trying to relieve the agony of his inflamed, infected skin. Our veterinarians diagnosed a brutal combination of mange, fungal infections, and allergic reactions. He will need three months of continuous care to have a chance at recovery. Without TAWESO, he would be dead. |

| Simba Was Dying in Silence. Blood in Her Stool. No Appetite. Just Skin and Bones.
Simba, a 4-year-old female, came to us barely clinging to life. She was emaciated, dull, and vomiting, with blood in her diarrhea. Clinical tests revealed dangerous gastrointestinal disease and severe worm infestation. She will need at least a month of treatment to recover. Again, there was no one else to help her—only TAWESO.

| | | Upendo the Donkey Was Collapsing Under the Weight of Exploitation |
| Upendo is one of four donkeys owned by Mr. Juma, a hardworking peasant who relies on his animals for survival. Every day, Upendo is hired to haul heavy loads in Tanzanian gold mines—but without proper harnessing or rest, his body finally gave out. He collapsed, riddled with wounds, lameness, and infection. Mr. Juma couldn’t afford veterinary care. But TAWESO stepped in, and today, Upendo is healing. |

| We Thank Our Grant Donors. But Friends, We Desperately Need More Help. |
| The generous support from our grant donors has allowed us to expand outreach and offer emergency aid to animals like Macho, Simba, and Upendo. Without you, none of this would be possible.
But here’s the truth: our current funding only scratches the surface of what’s needed.
Every week, more animals arrive. More villages call us. More working animals collapse. And every single sterilization, every rescue, every treatment—comes at a cost. Fuel for our mobile clinics, antibiotics, anti-parasitics, bandages, surgical tools… the list is endless. |
| | $25 helps deworm and treat a sick street dog. $100 keeps our mobile unit running for another day. $350 covers Upendo’s full recovery. |

| We are doing so much, with so little. |
| TAWESO is the only hope many of these animals will ever know. And we are doing so much, with so little. Tanzania is vast. The suffering is real. Our reach is growing—but so is the need. Our 10,000 dog sterilization milestone proves what’s possible when supporters like you believe in the mission. Let’s go even further. Let’s help the next 10,000. Please, donate now to keep this essential work going. These animals can’t wait.
|
| | | | We Cannot Do This Without You, We invite you to stand with us in giving these beautiful animals the life they deserve. Your compassion has always been the heart of our mission — and with your continued support, we can turn suffering into safety and despair into hope. Thank you for being an essential part of this journey. |
| By donating this cause you will be helping “TAWESO” in Tanzania. |
