| More Injured Cats Than Ever — We Need You!
Dear friends,
You have stood with us through some of the hardest months we’ve ever faced. When You Can Save Me expanded the shelter, we thought we were preparing for a manageable rise in rescues. But what happened instead was something none of us expected — the floodgates opened. Word must have spread through every alley and every corner of the city, because more injured, abandoned, and heartbroken cats are arriving than ever before. And every one of them is looking at us as if we’re their last chance. |

| She knew she was safe. Thanks to you. |
|
| Many of you remember the mother who was hit by a car and came to us trembling, her tiny kittens pressed against her for safety. Because of your kindness, her shoulder fracture stabilized, her babies survived, and that small family now sleeps curled in soft blankets instead of under a broken streetlamp. Then came the little sweetheart with the shattered front leg — the infection was so advanced the only way to save her life was amputation. Thanks to you, her surgery was paid for, and today she moves with more confidence than we ever imagined. When we placed her on a clean towel after surgery, she purred. She knew she was safe. |

| And the fragile girl with the ruined eye — the one whose tiny face broke every heart in our team. You stepped up for her too. Her €100 eye-removal surgery was fully funded, and she is finally free from the agony she had been quietly enduring for far too long. Every time she blinks her one bright eye now, it feels like a thank-you whispered straight to the soul. But as soon as we healed those lives, more came. They always do. |

| Recently, a new young cat was brought in shaking with fever, her eye so damaged that she desperately needs the same surgery your generosity made possible before. She is in pain, and the sooner we can operate, the sooner she will know relief. Another arrived with a fractured shoulder after being struck by a car — she was trying to protect her kittens even while she cried out from pain. And yet another, barely more than a baby herself, came to us with a front leg that could not be saved, the infection already eating into the bone. These new cases mirror the ones you have already helped us fight through… but with the expansion, the number of emergencies has nearly doubled. |

| | The truth is, dear friend, we are overwhelmed — not in spirit, but in resources. Food, medicines, surgeries, dressings, pain relief… it all disappears faster now. Even our volunteers’ hands feel too few. But our hearts? They are still wide open. And because of you, we can keep them that way.
If you are able, please help us continue this quiet, determined work. You have already saved lives here — real, breathing little souls who would not be alive today without your compassion. With one more gift, you can help us rescue the next mother, the next amputee, the next frightened little one who still believes someone might care enough to stop for her. |
