Today (February 14th), we participated in a beautiful demonstration in defense of social spaces threatened by local and national government forces. ---- This is a serious restriction on the scope that many organizations across the country are placing on mutual support, solidarity, and the anti-capitalist struggle, both on the part of the government and the state. --- The threat to evict Officina 99 and other occupied and self-managed spaces in the city is part of this latest government repression.
The Security Decree was a first step; a preventative lockdown is planned, and who knows what else. They want social tranquility within the country to advance the European rearmament project and the wars already underway.
This is why we say that the attacks on social centers and all those who dissent from the government's maneuvers are militaristic policies being implemented by governments.
These attacks can only be responded to immediately by uniting forces based on solidarity.
But in the long term, we envision a path of self-management, excluding both existing parties and various small parties, with decisions being made by the protagonists of the struggles and the occupation of spaces.
From now on, we stand alongside the activists of all self-managed spaces threatened with eviction, or already evicted.
We advocate a permanent assembly for the self-defense of all occupied and self-managed spaces, or any space used for cultural, artistic, popular, and political initiatives.
Peace between us, struggle between us and the government!
