At the same time, established trade unions are struggling with declining membership. The right wing is trying to exploit this situation and is infiltrating workplaces under a false flag as an alternative trade union. While new works councils are being elected nationwide these days, as they are every four years, the pseudo-union "Zentrum" is attempting to further gain a foothold in the legally mandated employee representation bodies.
How successful are they in this endeavor? Which actors and networks are involved? And what options for resistance exist? This presentation will analyze and discuss the danger from the right, taking into account the relevance of trade unions and the influence that statutory, company-level employee representatives have on the working conditions of employees.
