When Susmita and her team from For The Animals in India found her, Kali was in agony. Someone had allegedly attacked her with a machete. The blow tore away a large portion of her nose, leaving her unable to eat properly and struggling with excruciating pain. No animal should ever endure such cruelty. Yet despite everything that had been done to her, Kali was still fighting to survive. She needs urgent surgery, intensive veterinary care, intravenous fluids, medication, and continued hospitalization while veterinarians do everything possible to stabilize her condition and rebuild what this horrific act has taken from her.
